I agree with all of that. I'm gripping and ripping much too quick. Goal is to initiate more of a squeeze of the floor without sacrificing speed off the floor. That's been my biggest obstacle as weight gets heavier is the sluggishness off the floor. Sitting back before initiating the pull would probably help that. You think my shins should be almost perpendicular?

Spot on about the feet. It looks like I setup with them a bit more out but shifted them noticeably in before pulling. I'll try more angled out as well.

Thanks.

your on the right track. Sumo pulling is much more technical than traditional close stance. Close stance is more grip and rip, where all your leverages need to be aligned for a good sumo pull. Take some more side videos next time and watch as you sit back right before you pull, your shins will go perpendicular with the floor. Also remember, sumo will feel slower off the floor, but easier to finish/lock out. Traditional is faster off the floor, slower lock out.

Check out some of Chris Duffin's vids. He does like a 'double pop' to get low/back and fire the glutes/hams. Some really good info on his channel as well.

Fat loss is made in the kitchen, man. It's super hard to lose weight just by exercising, because exercising doesn't burn that many calories. You can easily undo what took you an hour to burn in just a couple of minutes.

Mostly from Shrugs, but I also row the shit out of my back. They are one of the few genetic gifts I think I have as well.

I have big hopes - some new hair pie this weekend for you!

I'm so proud you're in this thread's senate. It's been a fun ride.

So I've been really kicking it in the ass lately by putting everything into every workout like most guys do when it comes to chest and biceps since I'm shooting to enter a physique comp in 14 weeks(this would be first at age 35). My wife snapped this shot at OOF this past weekend and I think hammering it hard on the back and traps lately has been paying off. I start cut down 8/2 and can't wait to strip this fat off.

I have bigger wings. :p ;)
