Just interviewed Alex Smith on field. He says he could look in eyes of OL and see embraced challenge of grinding out last possession

Every QB in the league makes imperfect throws.

It's hard to bash a guy who's team is 2-0, who is completing about 60% of his passes, and who has not turned the ball over yet.

And both need more time in the offense. 2 weeks is not a lot yet still 2-0.

I'm thrilled that the team as a whole is gelling. I expected some very ugly football from this squad to start the year, and I am not disappoint. That said, any game where Dallas loses is a good one.

Hope we continue to improve.

You're a particularly illiterate and annoying troll.

Now if the 49ers LOSE tonight, time to laugh at the forty whiners that constantly come on here to whine about Alex Smith LMAO ROFL

Fritz88 09-15-2013 02:28 PM

0 TOs against a team that had 6 the game before?

Impressive.

Alex Smiff 09-15-2013 02:28 PM

4 for 13 on 3rd down. He won't be able to ride the luck train for long but good win for him.

Meh.

It was a good win but Alex still hasn't proven that he is going to lead a team anywhere meaningful, which is everyones gripe about having a ****ing game manager as a QB on a team in their prime that's suppose to be in "win now" mode.

The word of the day is: tepid. That is what Alex Smith was today. Which doesn't surprise me a bit. This is what I thought we would say.

Smith is also VERY lucky he did not throw 2 picks today, including a pick 6. The ball came out late several times, and he was throwing behind a lot of guys.

This is the QB I was afraid of. Good enough to win if the D and run game are awesome. Not good enough if they are not or if the D doesn't set him up with a few short fields or if they're playing another elite team.
