4.47 at the Combine, drafted in the 4th round by the Bears, had 30 tackles and an INT, then was released in 2015 when the new staff took over.

From there, he's been on practice squads, signed to the Patriots, then retired 2 days ago, was waived, reinstated and claimed by the Chiefs.

Sounds like he didn't want to put up with Belichicks bullshit Patriot way.

And also that he might suck !

This is Clayton, the disabled son of the gal I referenced in the "Happy GIF" thread.

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=301398

It ends up that not only are they going to both Denver games (they live in CO Springs), they got free tickets to the Tuesday practice in the VIP tent. They drove all night Monday to make the practice. Stayed the day and drove home. I was there as well.

They don't make much money, so as it turns out, this is the families Christmas gifts. Again, it floored me. I have known her since HS and never knew she was such a fan.

The practice personnel positioned us on the walkway back up the hill to the locker room. At the end of practice, the players would grab one of the kids and push them up the hill. The first player to come by was Marcus. All I can say about him is Wow! What a kid. He talked with Clayton and us for about 15 min. He is down to earth and is so excited. He said he was living a dream. I gave him a little crap about growing up a Raiders fan. He grinned (he grinned the whole time) and growing up he had always respected the Chiefs. He made the day quite special for Clayton.

We ended up getting most of the players autographs. So we met most of them. A really nice group of young men. They are HUGE. My friends other son was there and is 6'2". He looked kinda small. Of course I was a midget at 5'8". I have never been up close like that. I talked a bit with Mitch Schwartz about his book with his brother. Geoff played for us 2 yrs ago. I think I was remembering right and mentioned wouldn't be fun to play on the same team. He at guard and brother at tackle. He said yea, but they would probably fight too much. I asked Sherman how he likes playing FB. He loves steamrolling people. I think he is wider then he is tall. His arms are bigger then my thighs.

A couple of other observations. Santos is a stud. He kicked for 45 min straight. My leg would have fallen off. I think he only missed once. When he went over to practice with the rest of the team, he booted 2-3 of them so high and long that the dude who was on the 4 story elevated camera platform in the end zone caught them. Right in the numbers.

Towards the end of practice, the QBs came over to the west field (right in front of the VIP tent) and had a goal post competition: how many times can you hit the goal post at varying distances. It was pretty amazing how accurate all of them were. It reminded me of ~~Grbac that hit the goal post instead of the receiver during a game??

All said and done, a wonderful day. None better then for Clayton. The NFL and or the Chiefs can say they can do at least one thing awesome.

Cassel did that on a "Hail Mary" against the Browns, iirc.

I believe you are correct sir. He must have honed that skill like these guys are doing. So expect to see this technique sometime this season:)

The future of this team is as bright as I can ever remember.

Loaded with talent from the top to the bottom of the roster.

LMAO...the cross-bar. Was that pretty much the first thing he did that was just straight up laughable on multiple levels? Followed by the hat-biff, the falling down when celebrating in the endzone, the INT on the bubble screen, etc...

Haha, Cassel...what a turd. I just read that "Cassel Haters Should Eat Their Crow" thread the other day and cringed and laughed my ass off.

I'll say that most of you know I've got a severely handicapped daughter, and I'll say the she's never happier than when we are watching a chiefs game...

It's crazy.

She's happy because her dad is with her and he's happy. :)
