ROFL My bad - TOMMY KELLY, DT (Raiders)

I was reading "Harris" on the guy drafted before me... just typed it wrong. Good for a laugh though... had me wondering how I missed it.

Rain Man 07-21-2009 11:09 AM

Tampering. Tampering! That's going to cost you a rookie draft pick if you aren't careful.

(On another note, I'll update the team name in the title.)

Mile High Mania 07-21-2009 11:10 AM

Ha ... yeah, if Tommy Harris were there, it would have been the steal of the century. Again, simple mistake... Tommy Kelly was the target and the player I described in the commentary.

Carry on... and, you know you wanted him at this point. Very nice starter and solid value.

Rain Man 07-21-2009 11:12 AM

Oh, and I'll update the abbreviations at some point, but I have to do some copying and pasting and I'm still catching up at work from vacation.

Tommy Kelly is great value at this level. The list I was working off showed him already drafted, so I never considered him. That's what I get for not doing my own homework.

chiefscafan 07-21-2009 11:14 AM

I personally like my ferguson pick run stopper and takes up blocks so LBs can make plays team is coming along.

Yeah, the list I have received has about 80% of the available players and I think I have accurately scratched off about 98% of the players drafted, I know I've missed a few.

So, I've started using the "search this thread" option and typing the name there...

C'mon... you're jealous. Williams and Kelly make a brick freaking wall in the middle of that DL.

That wasn't directed towards you.

Just as a heads up, the quick reference lists of the first 19 rounds start at post 2784 *coughcough*. I'll update the later rounds when I have a few minutes....

:harumph: I don't care... you're still jealous.

I'll say this -- playing this game even for a few days had forced me to learn a ton more about the players around the league. There are lots of very good players that you don't hear much about because they don't play glamor positions, their team doesn't go deep in the playoffs, and they don't go to the probowl. Unfortunately, few of these players play for the Chiefs. We really did a terrible job of drafting during the DV years and only a little better while Herm was here.

Yep, I agree with all of this.
