If Dawkins (who has started 224 games in his career) isn't back next year, that leaves us with 4 safties who have started 21 games combined in their careers. I don't think that adding a guy with zero NFL experience is quite the right move.

Sabby Piscatelli should be available.

I can't believe Knowmo is actually posting as a Chiefs fan.

Even if Dawkins does come back... he's almost like a player/coach now and won't play the whole season. They need to seriously focus on the secondary, slide Bailey down to S maybe.

You can't address a secondary like that in one draft - they have some young guys with nice upside, wish Moore didn't have a flakey rookie season. They need to bring in some FA options.

Dawkins wants to come back, but only if it's for Denver.

I welcome his slow old ass back to the Donks. It will balance out the shit we have with McGraw

Dawkins could be vital to Charles racking up 400 in two games against the Donks.

Simply stated, pardon the pun, when Chiefsplanet was founded, many of the founders asked themselves, what homerism should we allow here at Chiefsplanet. The obvious choice was Bronco Homerism. I mean they had just come off back to back Superbowl championships while Carl Peterson was running the Chiefs organization into the ground as he had when he drafted Todd Blackledge back in '83.

So as the elders of Chiefsplanet pounded out the irrevocable rules of Chiefsplanet on their stone tablets, it was written...the only acceptable homerism, here on Chiefsplanet, is Bronco Homerism.

There's a lot of that going around in Oaktown. We are obsessed with the Chiefs - we despise them... follow every move they make. You're probably too young to remember Len Dawson attempting to break Ben Davidson's neck as he made a tackle on the KC QB. Then Otis Taylor just flat out attacked Ben so the benches cleared & the flags started flying just in time to rescue Oakland from "certain" defeat. Game was in the final minute when Dawson pulled that stunt against Davidson. Knocked KC right out of the playoffs & gave Oakland the division. Ben Davidson is actually a pretty nice guy & didn't deserve to be treated that way by Dawson. Thats just one reason why we keep up on Chiefs news.

Dawkins probably had his best year in Denver last year. The Donks defense was atrocious without him, maybe his replacements just sucked but you could really tell when Dawkins wasn't out there.

We know a little about the implications of certain safety's going down.

That distinction goes to Denver coach John Fox, known to many in NFL circles as the King of the Combine. Nobody in Indianapolis commands more respect than Fox, and nobody deserves it more, either. Fox treats everyone he encounters with kindness and class, from the servers at Steak 'n Shake to the bartenders at Mo's Steakhouse. It's no wonder that on Monday evening Fox was sipping some red wine from a glass engraved with his initials.

Injecting a level of fun into a week designed specifically for work, Fox makes the combine more enjoyable for all, including those who work for him.
