I generally utilize conventional methods to meet girls (not trying to be douchey, but it may come off that way), so it really isn't a big deal for me. I've never had an active profile mainly because going to bars and/or meeting girls through friends seems to work. But I've curiously looked at match profiles a couple times just to see.

A friend of mine is a super hot blonde and the reason no one in our crew dates her is because she can be el crazy! I recommended one of the sites to her and she's one of the hottest chicks on there. She gets plenty of messages but those guys don't know what I know.

I would say the majority of time this is true but not always! There are diamonds in the rough I'm sure.

After making fun of these dating websites on page 52? Of this thread I was politely told to knock it off. I then decided to try these sites (okcupid & POF) and I had mixed results. Went out with 2 different chicks and had an overall great Experiance because of those sites. Here's one of them.

Keep in mind that sites like Match aren't just used by people who "can't get any" under normal circumstances. A lot of people resort to online dating because they're too busy with work to go out looking, they aren't surrounded by a dateable peer group, or both.

You're in med school, right? It's much, much easier to find dates when everyone around you is around your age and they aren't your coworkers. I'm in consulting, which tends to attract a pretty young crowd, but I made the mistake of finding a girlfriend from within the company last year.

We didn't even work at the same client and never saw each other at work, but after our amicable (and mutual) breakup, it was still very touchy when going the company's city-wide events. She ended up dating another guy in the company, and they are very public with their relationship. That's embarrassing for me, and I find myself going to fewer of the events. It would be better for my career to not be in that position, so I consider the lesson learned.

Combined with a heavy/unpredictable work schedule, that means that I have very few venues for finding worthwhile women. I'm not using it now, but online dating is one of those remaining methods (and I'm ****ing 24 years old). Not a desirable scenario to be in, but a true one.

Shit, maybe I should figure out a graduate program to enroll in. I miss collegiate life!

I tried a bunch of those sites, and ended up finding my wife on match. Makes weeding them out pretty easy; college education, must like football, high salary, athletic build... and went to town. Whoever said that teachers are crazy on the previous page was right. :)
