You're in med school, right? It's much, much easier to find dates when everyone around you is around your age and they aren't your coworkers. I'm in consulting, which tends to attract a pretty young crowd, but I made the mistake of finding a girlfriend from within the company last year.

We didn't even work at the same client and never saw each other at work, but after our amicable (and mutual) breakup, it was still very touchy when going the company's city-wide events. She ended up dating another guy in the company, and they are very public with their relationship. That's embarrassing for me, and I find myself going to fewer of the events. It would be better for my career to not be in that position, so I consider the lesson learned.

Combined with a heavy/unpredictable work schedule, that means that I have very few venues for finding worthwhile women. I'm not using it now, but online dating is one of those remaining methods (and I'm ****ing 24 years old). Not a desirable scenario to be in, but a true one.

Shit, maybe I should figure out a graduate program to enroll in. I miss collegiate life!

There is a reason why a rule exists to not date anyone in your workplace ever. It always ends shittily for all parties involved. Pick off their hot friends, yes!

Man. What do you do with a girl who doesn't particularly like eating out or watching movies?

It sucks when you're not compatible with someone you're super attracted to.

Because she doesn't like eating out or movies? If those two things are truly the only things you like doing you'd better pick something she likes and embrace change.

They aren't, but I'm a simple man. Dinner and a movie makes me happy. If someone can't find joy in such an evening they might not be my type.

She should have a slew of interests and hot spots listed to choose from. Start with that.

The woman eats I'm sure and you can see movies with your friends. Your end goal isn't to find a woman who will eat and watch movies with you. Your end goal is supposed to be finding someone that thinks you being happy is the end goal. Even if that means she finds something else to do on nights you polish your lightsaber.

You will have decades to sit on a couch, eat and watch movies. Go live a little so you have a frame of reference of... I dunno... life?

While true, it's probably not that ****ing hard to find someone who's into that. I mean, come on.

I KNOW, RIGHT?

You don't have to polish a lightsaber like a sword - it is permanently resplendent through the power of the force!!!

An another, totally unrelated note, I've never understood how women tend to get so obsessed with TV shows. Nobody who's worth anything cares that much about a dumb TV show like Downton Abbey, AMIRITE?

No but I'm assuming you have a list of other requirements too... I don't know many girls our age that love going to movies early on in a relationship. You can't talk and its been the go-to date place since we were teenagers.

Aim younger or lower.

Sure, when they're in their 20s.
