If you want changes in the front office and coaching staff, you better not be wishing for them to bring the entire farm up. That gives them more time.

Went to see the Naturals in Springfield again last night. Got a picture of my daughter with Bobby Witt Jr. after the game. He was super nice and took pictures with and signed autographs for a bunch of fans after the game (lots of Royals fans in Springfield).

Crazy how young Witt Jr looks in that pic

Ashe Russell made his first appearance on the mound for a Royals affiliate since 2016 last night. To put that into context, this website did not exist the last time he pitched professionally. Seeing his name in the box score speaks volumes to this kid’s work ethic and desire to still be playing baseball. It would’ve been really easy for him to hang it up by now. Awesome seeing him back and playing baseball.

Box Score:
– Lucius Fox: 2-4, HR, 2B, 2K
– Roger Leyton: 1-3, HR, BB
– Darnell Collins: 2-2, 2B, 2 BB
Ashe Russell: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 ER

Nice to see he's still trying, but there is virtually no chance the guy ever makes the majors. (Ashe Russell)

I think it’s time to bring up Witt & anyone else ready. Trade Santana & bring up Pratto. Let’s start concentrating on next season.

Draft Rocker & let’s go!

Probably not, but it's still a great story. It's also why they'll probably keep Dayton in the front office somewhere. Not sure many GMs in the league have a better reputation for treating players well.

We went to the Series in 15. They went 16, barely losing it. We bottomed our and haven’t recovered - they NEVER bottomed out.

I’d like to know how.

Nobody remembers Marty's 90s Chiefs. Everyone remembers Rams' Greatest Show on Turf.

Prison Bitch 07-02-2021 11:38 AM

Yeah, just like Marty’s teams. Except that one little part about getting to extra innings of Game 7 of a World Series.

On April 29th we were 15 - 8, a small sample but it was fun. The team had several come from behind wins showing a never stop attitude for winning. Somewhere during that 11 game losing streak, we lost that fun of playing. The Royals recovered, got back to .500 ball and you could see the and feel the excitement again. But since April 29th,we are 21 games under .500 ball.

In case anybody wants to know, just to get back to .500 by end of the season, KC has to go 48-34 in the next 82 games. :banghead:

To get to what I expected, 75 wins, that would be 42-40, still possible, not likely based on the current level of play.

The bigger question everybody seems to have concerns with is, how many games will the Royals lose now.

TLO 07-02-2021 05:20 PM

Salvy is going to be in the HR derby!

Mecca 07-02-2021 05:31 PM

You know it'd be nice if Moore would admit this team sucks by making moves but I don't see that happening.
