Does next season matter when they could win the Super Bowl THIS SEASON?

People act like it's their money. It's silly.

I didn't know Earl Thomas had magic powers that guarantee us a Super Bowl.

It's not like the Chiefs won't be moving on from other highly paid guys really quickly...also everyone thought Marcus Peters was going to get a huge deal here so what's wrong with giving that money to Thomas?

Even if he ends up playing some this year, contract or not... you have to separate yourself from the idea of Berry being a safety on this team

His body is just rapidly breaking down, he isnt long for the NFL IMO

Let Veach and Clark worry about the money, we need a new safety

Then drop any talks about Earl Thomas and get Eric Berry the **** off this team first.

You're not being reasonable

What are they supposed to do with him right now, just summarily release him?

That wouldnt play well in the locker room, or anywhere else

Who said anything about a guarantee? This team is a top contender right now. A healthy Berry probably puts them over the top. Unfortunately Berry isn't healthy.

In what way would the Berry news impact anything?

ROFL

Seriously man, what are you afraid of? Winning a few playoff games?

Come to an injury settlement and get him the **** out of here. If he won't do that then NFI him and be done with it. My sympathy for brokedicks on the Chiefs is gone.

Especially since the Chiefs have been lying about Berry's status for weeks...

A team source on Monday told NFL.com's Jeffri Chadiha that the Chiefs continue to inquire about a trade for Thomas but admits it would be difficult pull off. The source said the interest in Thomas is not related to any concerns over the health of Eric Berry.

Berry has dealt with a heel injury that has prevented him from practicing since early August and he's also returning from a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered in the 2017 regular-season opener.

Bull. ****ing. Shit.

How is this injury a NFI?
