1 FT made. The technical was necessary at that stage of the game, I thought, though. Both to get his players to start caring and to turn the officiating tide (Nova was getting quite physical and was getting away with it).

Didn't watch the 2nd half of that game. OSU dominated them so thoroughly that I figured it wouldn't be close (guess I thought wrong).

Wiggins' ceiling may be higher on D than just about anybody, but he doesn't give the consistent defensive effort Smart does on every possession. There's a big difference between the two in that regard.

I had a Nova fan tell me tonight that Jay is a better coach than Self and that they're a better program than KU. Two lessons...there are stupid sports fans out there and some people aren't worth spending time on. Don't listen to them, Rust.

There wasn't any realistic chance KU was going to be undefeated come January. Not with the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation and not with their youth. Wouldn't be at all surprising to see a few more losses before then.

While they are without question not a better program than KU I would listen to the argument that Jay is a better coach. What is self's head to head record against him? I think it's a losing record. Sure, we've had more success in the tourney but Self does have more talent on his teams so we should be better in that. Either way they are both great coaches and you couldn't go wrong with either of them. I'd rather have Self but I think you could make an argument for Jay.
