This has got to be one of the most apt thread titles in Chiefs Planet history.

It's not even an arguable statement to say that Sanchez has more upside. There's a reason that he was a top-5 pick. He has all the tools, physical and otherwise, to be elite.

Now, that doesn't mean that Cassel won't prove to be the better of the two (which won't happen, but for the sake of conversation...).

How do you know he has all the tools?

The Jets are winning because of that defense. Not Sanchez.

STFU Tardian, you've proven your FAIL time and time again.

Sanchez is playing very well, to be sure. But he's not the sole reason that team is 3-0. The Jets are playing well as a team.

Oh it's absolutely a team effort. Everybody is pulling their weight, including the ROOKIE Quarterback.

I don't see why he couldn't be a top 10 QB. I don't think he'll ever be Drew Brees, but I doubt Sanchez will be either. I don't care where he ranks as a QB. Eli Manning isn't a top 5 QB. Arguably, he's barely top 10, but he's a great asset to the Giants squad anyway.

To me, putting huge numbers ina a very talented offense sin't the criteria that defines a great QB.

Drew Brees is putting up remarkable numbers, but when he can deliver consisitently in tough situations, in games whenthe saints need him to make plays, then he becomes a top tier QB.

Until I see that, and he hasn't done that yet, he is nothing more than a Trent Green type QB who puyts up big numbers behind an outstanding O-Line, with more talent at WR.

They're actually scoring 4 fewer points/game on offense this year than they did in '08, and heavily balanced towards the run over the pass (104 runs/84 passes). Which is exactly what you would want with a rookie QB, and Sanchez has done his job as well as any rookie could. I'd imagine if the Chiefs were able to do the same thing with Cassel, he's probably have really good numbers. Hell, he's completing 2/3 of his passes without a running game, a line or receivers.

The thing is, most of us that wanted to draft Sanchez alos wanted to go O-Line heavy in the draft (a deep O-line draft) and let Sanchex sit while the O-Line developed.

We wouldbn't expect him to be a savior behind this crap O-Line, and speaking for myself, I don't expect Cassel to be either.

However, I do expect Sanchez to be a much better QB over his career than Cassel.

Failure to recognize that Sanchez has made plays to contribute to the Jets winning is simply failure.

LOL..when you have no clue what youre talking about you should be quiet. he brought the Jets from behind in the last 2 games. and the offense didnt do a turtle job after the Texans made it a close game in the opener.

I never said he hasn't made plays. I said they are winning because of the defense. That's a fact. Sanchez playing for the Rams and they are still 0-3.

And outside of Colston, New Orleans doesn't have great WR's. Comparing Brees to Trent Green is the failure. Green was never as good as Brees is now.
