Hali might not suck, as many expected (including myself), but he's certainly pretty meh.

We definitely need to upgrade the position he currently occupies.

We need so much .. drafting won't get all the needs .. so would luv to beat Dungver and spoil their POs ......

Sam Bradford has the accuracy to run this offense. I would love to give Cassel some competition and groom a player that has potential to be our franchise QB for the next 15 years. We have so many holes, I can't see us going QB in the first, but I certainly wouldn't be adverse to the idea of thinking long-term and think the move would be smart.

I also think, we might be able to parlay our two 2nd rounders to trade up and land two quality 1st rounders that could make an impact, long-term.

I'm hopeful we target a couple of 1st rounders that we think have superstar potential and do what it takes to land them.

Would it help to have a better player at ROLB? Sure, there are many many more positions of need and ineptitude than Hali is right now. As I said earlier in this thread an ideal first two rounds IMO would be Berry, LB(Hughes, Norwood) and Gilyard/OT with Gilyard being the preference. If that were the case, maybe Hali moves to LOLB and has a very good year as he did playing opposite of Jared Allen.

But, saying Hali's spot in the starting lineup needs to be upgraded is like living in a house that has holes in the roof, termite damage, wiring issues that could spark a fire any minute and putting down tile because the carpet is a little stained instead of fixing the other problems.

I'd rather beat the donks and pick out of the top five. **** them....they're the donks.

I'd rather beat the Donks, too. But even if we beat the Donks, we have an 82% chance of drafting in the top 5.

Screw draft position, I'd rather beat the donks at mile high and dash their faint playoff hopes.

Someone asked what it would take for us to get the 2nd overall pick in the draft.

1. We lose to Denver.
2. Detroit beats Chicago
3. We get at least 9 points worth of games going our way from the following list:

Indy over Bufflao (1 point)
New Orleans over Carolina (1 point)
Cleveland over Jacksonville (1 point)
Minnesota over the Giants (3 points)
Green Bay over Arizona (1 point)
Baltimore over Oakland (2 points)
Washington over San Diego (2 points)
Seattle over Tennessee (1 point)

9 points and we still need to win a coin flip. 10 points and we get the 2nd pick out right.

Needless to say, a lot needs to go our way for us to get the 2nd overall pick.

If we lose to Denver, we can't do worse than 3rd.

But if we beat Denver and Cleveland, Washington, and Tampa all win, we'd still get the 3rd pick, FTW.

OK, but if we beat Denver and Cleveland, Washington, and Tampa Bay all lose; then where would we pick? Would we drop to 4th, 5th or 6th?

but that is something we could do next year. Right now we need to upgrade the two ILB's. Bad.

IMHO, that is the REAL weakness of this D. Like i said, i'm hoping we could fix that in the 2nd rnd.
