You should comment on the starting center who essentially said Mike Leach doesn't know how to deal with people and is basically a dipshit.

Jesus Dane...

You're slipping. The last 20 posts in this thread are insane.

All I can say is...you're lucky that SOMEHOW people envy you on this site...I don't get it, really...you're about as much of a poser as anything I've ever seen...

Picking a real life fight with someone on a message board?

Hysterical.

All I can say is wow...

But somehow no one calls you out because somehow people think you're a cool guy...amazing how people can turn a blind eye to the constant dumbass posts you make...

People call me out for making "dumbass" posts all the time...but I have a feeling that if they replaced the DaneMcCloud with Hootie and went back and looked at my post history for a few months they'd be like..."god that guy is a total dickbag piece of shit...I wish he'd just go away!"

Give the kid a break. 4 days ago he was going to see his team play in a bowl game, party like a rock star over new years break, all was good.
Now his football program went from up high to down low, his goofy-ass coach is fired (though he brought it on himself) and he's taking it hard.

That's utter non-sense. When you are in the NFL or working as a security guard or whatever your future holds, the teams coach will still be there building the next edition of the team by recruiting the guy who's going to take your spot.

FYP to more accurately reflect big-time college athletics

Whitlock Article: "Mike Leach's Arrogance Got in the Way"

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/1657819.html

"(Blah, blah, blah: Mangino firing similarity)....Had Leach expressed remorse in private, this controversy would’ve never emerged publicly, would’ve never caused Tech officials to suspend and then fire Leach.

Leach, a lawyer, allowed his pride and arrogance to trump common sense. He couldn’t bring himself to make peace with a spoiled player and a stage parent. Worse, Leach couldn’t bring himself to do the right thing for his employer.

Leach stood on principle.

Craig James stood on ESPN.

Mike Leach and Texas Tech lost. The Worldwide Leader flicked the lights and rolled cameras as one of its top college analysts threw a televised tantrum because a football coach humiliated his son at two separate practices.

(Blah, blah, blah no peace pipe smoked, can't blame the administration.)"

That's true, though it's definately a reflection about how much it is about the coach. Particuarly in college, where it's about recruiting the talent, not (in theory) overpaying for it.

An apology might have swept this under the rug, but the really coach had nothing to apologize for, IMO. Unless there is some detail I'm missing.

He didn't lock him in a closet. He asked him politely if he would mind standing in the air conditioned spa where the sun would not hurt him. He was not confined. He had every opportunity to leave. (end sarcasm). Isn't there enough blame to go around? Good grief. Sounds like just about everyone can shoulder some of the blame: player, coach, administration, Dad, ESPN.
