We need another safety, Kendrick Lewis is worthy of a roster spot but he should never be on the field in anything other than obvious passing downs he tackles worse than QB's after picks.

Powe hasn't even been active and I can only assume thats because hes dog shit stupid. There's really no other reason he isn't at least active.

Belcher is nothing to be proud of.

We have NOTHING at safety beyond Berry.

With Berry playing Lewis doesn't have to be a tackler. He's good in coverage. Ok, Hudson can play guard, you aren't gonna take a C with a 1st round pick in the draft. Powe might be stupid but he looked good in the PS. Give him a year to learn the position.

Don't get all the Belcher hate. The dude has improved by leaps and bounds every year. He doesn't need to be replaced IMO>

I'm usually a trade-down guy. This year, though, if we are within the striking distance of the first pick I'd say TRADE UP!

My argument is that with the draft picks we will still have, if we are smart about it, we could get the depth we need. We don't need a first round S or NT or C.

We do however need a game changing QB. That would be worth the move.

The bottom line is that if there's a sure-fire hit at QB, the Chiefs should pay whatever it takes to get that guy because the other holes are comparably negligible and able to be filled through FA and middle to late-round picks.

You're right, we won't be picking a C in the first. But we'll be picking high in the second and Brewster might be there and Konz more than likely is.

Ideally, Lewis should play the role that McGraw has for this defense: a third "swing" safety who is a special teams ace. He does a lot of things ok but nothing all that good. He's a fine player for depth, but he probably shouldn't start.

Ahem,..... I did.

Ok I'm fine with that. But we don't need to draft Safety that high in the draft to replace him.

True True.

And lets be fair QB or no QB if we continue to be 32nd in roster spending we aren't winning shit.

O.city 10-03-2011 09:50 PM

I'm just stating that with Berry back there we don't need another all pro S.
