the chiefs roster is overloaded with washed up Cards players. Breaston is the only former Cards player that's worth a **** on the current Chiefs roster. |

Line play didn't improve. But again, that's a talent problem. First, we need a qb who can spot a blitz, find a hot read, and get rid of the ball quickly. Cassel makes them worse. Second, we have horrible rbs right now, but we are actually running effectively this year. That's a credit to how good our oline is at run blocking. The olinemen with talent are fine. Albert, Asamoah, and Hudson (on limited snaps) |
Norv is rubbing salt into our wound.
--Coach Norv Turner has been effusive in his praise for LT Jared Gaither, who has started two games after being released by the Chiefs. Turner gave him a game ball after Sunday's win. "He's a big man (with) long arms, and he's a very good athlete," Turner said. "So, he's kind of bailed us out. I don't know where we would have been without him. I don't think we would have won the last two games, and I think we would have continued to struggle to protect the quarterback." --Left tackle Jared Gaither, who has found a home in San Diego, started his career in Baltimore. That makes for a warm coming-back angle but instead Gaither knows his biggest focus must be on slowing the Ravens' Terrell Suggs. "He is a good defensive end, good outside linebacker, pass rusher. He is a good player," Gaither said. "He can pretty much do it all. That's why he is up for Defensive Player of the Year. I'm looking forward to the matchup." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/1...at-left-tackle |
Thanks again Haley. It is so great that you refused to find a way to get Gaither on the field.
Pioli, I would love to bash you....but considering that Gaither was on a 1 year deal, and you didn't expect to fire Haley midseason.... I understand cutting a guy that your coach didn't get along with. |
If we had been starting Gaither on the right side all season and then re-signed him after, think about how set we would be- ONE starting center or guard away from having the offensive line the true fans dream of. Barry Richardson would be a back up where he belongs, and we would have one entire offseason to put Hudson in and work out a replacement for old men Weigmann/Lilja

Haley the MorAn cut off his nose despite his Face. |
This will probably turn out like Chan Gailey. It looks like we screwed the pooch for a few weeks but then reality will set in and we will realize that we didn't really give away much.
Get back to me when Gaileys Bills make the playoffs or at least beat the donks for us this week. Get back to me when Gaither plays a full season at LT for the Chargers or even learns to play RT. |

The ravens are pretty darn good at evaluating talent. They cut him. After that, the chiefs signed him for nothing and no other team really tried. You don't have to trust the chiefs to know what they're doing. The red flag is that the ravens thought he was worthless enough to toss to the side for free. |
If we win our next two games, and San Diego wins their next two games, could it be argued that Denver screwed their playoff chances by cutting Orton loose and letting our offense get on track, but we in turn screwed our playoff chances by cutting Gaither loose and letting San Diego's offense get on track?

He raped Ray Lewis.

You can't rape the willing...

0 sacks allowed to a red hot Suggs. Yeah, we couldn't have used him at all.

The only way this makes sense is if Albert couldn't move to the right side. We've been hearing all along that Gaither couldn't play on the right.
