We've won 3 from 2 bad teams after a 12er losing streak... we'll get their attention when we keep winning. They can't ignore us if we keep it up.

You're threads are the best though... (as long as we're winng)... with all that OP shit I don't even know how to do.

honestly, I got a bunch of stuff going on right now, so its convenient to me to have other people do game threads this weekend. I probably would not have been able to post it up this week.

Hey bitch I have a lot going on too. I did 60 hours at work this week and have a teenage daughter who's involved in everything. Don't cry to me.

;)

Absolutley. Gordo was beasting it up early in the game. I knew he hit a homer in the first from the way he stood there and watched it for a moment. Then the rob in the second. Another base hit and a SB. Dude finally had the game this season that was expected of him.

Once again all the Gordon haters can suck it. That ball he hit out tonight was a BOMB.

Not to mention robbing that HR.

If it didn't hit that giant electronic tower it'd still be going. I don't remember seeing a Royals hitter getting ahold of a ball like that before.

There's nothing wrong with Alex other than pressing too much sometimes. If the team is in a funk he knows he's one of the main cogs and trys a little too hard to make something happen. That always makes for a bad result... more pressure. His skill and talent are unquestioned. His leadership still has a ways to go.

But Gordon's homer was huge

We need a gif of Gordon's homer.

Gordon arguably won the game

Who are these haters? Most on this site were demanding and thrilled that we signed him to an extension.

Just looking at some numbers here now that we're 20 games in (mid-term of the first quarter). Don't know what they mean for certain, but I found some of these interesting:

3 players are on pace to hit over 30 HRs. Gordon's on pace for 32, and Butler and Hoz are on pace for 40.

Hosmer has struggled so far only hitting .198. He's still on pace for 40 HRs and 100 RBI. If he gets hot, I have no idea what his ceiling could be.

Escobar is second on the team in total bases. He's on pace for 56 doubles and 72 extra base hits (not to mention 32 stolen bases). If not for Butler, Escobar would be our MVP so far.

Butler's on pace for 40 HRs and nearly 50 doubles. The rest of the lineup hasn't been tearing it up, and he's on pace for 130 RBI.

Moose is quietly putting together a nice start to the season, but he needs to cut down on the strikeouts. As it sits, he's on pace for .300, 16, 81. I don't think his average will remain this high, but I think 16 HRs and 81 RBI are doable. He also leads the team in OBP.

Gordon obviously got off to a terrible start, but he's now got 18 hits, and his average is up to .231. Here's the incredible thing, though. His OBP is .341. He's walked 13 times. Despite the slow start, he's on pace for 32 HRs and 81 RBI.

Francouer has been an absolute turd at the plate hitting .225 with a whopping 3 RBI.

Can we please just get healthy?

Our CF production sucks, and so does our Catching. If Cain can come back and play well, Cain, Gordon, Hosmer, Butler, Moose, Francouer, Perez, (Getz/Yuni/Gio), Escobar suddenly looks pretty good again.

I think ol' JD is interpreting our complaining about his .150 batting average for the first couple of weeks as hatred.

That and one poster in particular calling him "Allice".
I'm just glad the guy's gotten back on track.
