The team's offseason approach was absolute garbage last year as well. Most unprepared Chiefs team to start a season I've ever seen.

This.

Plus Romeo only cared about the best players getting on the field.

Palko was demoted and Orton immediately put in.

Preparation might cut it when looking at the first few games. Romeo took over THIRTEEN games in the season. "Preparation" had nothing to do with it.

I don't agree at all. You don't think game planning has any difference at all in the outcome of games? Romeo even came out and said they were going to do things differently.

We are better then four other teams.

In the right circumstances, that's a division title right there.

You specifically mentioned preparation and the START of the season. That's not "game planning".

And yes, game planning is important. Of course, the game plan changes dramatically when you don't have TYLER PALKO under center.

I was talking about 2 different things. I even seperated them. Preperation ie: game planning week to week (look how many times the team was OBLITERATED under Haley) and the god awful start to the season.

It's cool if you separated them, but it is not at all clear that the first sentence is talking about game-to-game preparation.

To any reasonable person, it looks like you're talking about preseason prep. :thumb:

IMO, the ESPN Power Rankings have us closer to where we should be. I think they have us at 18, which is about where I would say.

After this year, it's gonna be a top 10'er though. HA.

Not that he's an expert or anything, but this is an email exchange with Walter from Walter Football:

Direckshun: Enjoyed the last mock -- I assume you are projecting the Chiefs to take the division over Peyton Manning's Broncos? Risky call, but of course I love it.

Walter Cherepinsky: Yep, a preview for my season previews.

Oof.

BigRedChief 02-24-2024 10:35 AM

I was watching the games with 8-10 Chief fans. Our TV was usually 10-20 yards away without any sound. Now? Its unreal how far we are away from this era. :thumb:
