In all fairness, women have played a pretty big role in that. |

Lots of gangbangers bumping Kind Of Blue or Giant Steps, huh?? Torturing people to Kenny Burrell?? are you kidding?? Do you even ****ing KNOW anyone who listens to jazz?? Obviously not. Dude...the culture that perpetuates this type of behavior permeates from the God-awful mass communication empire that constantly pushes this ignorant thug-life mentality to radio, TV, etc. Sex, drugs, etc. Three And a Half Men is a perfect example : horrible scenarios where a young pre-adolescent or adolescent is exposed to sex, alcohol, etc. Dick and fart jokes. And it's the number one rated show on TV, and people think it's funny...but it's putrid. They don't know any better. Same with the music; it's what gets pushed, so people don't know any better. The result : a dumbed-down impetuous society, fixated on sex, money and power. It's cool to be dumb, and not speak properly, and to be promiscuous, etc. As a society, we're more fixated on becoming mechanical economic vessels than learning how to love ourselves, each other, and our earth which gives us the very life that allows our existance. Having honor, integrity, chivalry, etc. are dead concepts. |

You do realize that gang bangers are not the only bad people in the world, don't you? |

Eh, I don't believe it is that cut and dry with this issue. |

I think this is the same mentality Whitlock usually writes about, and I admit... I tend to agree. |
The police were well aware that Sam "The Bull" Gravano was a huge Sinatra fan.
And Richard "Ice Man" Kuklinski never missed a performance of Cats. FAX |

yes...I used Three and a Half Men as an example as well. However, we are discussing a particular incident, and the Trey Songz thing puts it over the top to me. like, 'hey, don't go listen to a guy singing songs 'I'ma Hit Dat' and 'Panty Wetter' or 'Panty Dropper'. He sucks. It's terrible music, and I can't fathom anyone who has a moral compass would subject themselves to anything like that while they have a 3-month-old at home and their football playing boyfriend is out getting hammered with another girl when he has team meeting and practice first thing in the AM. A good partner would have been home with the other partner, getting things ready for the next day's events, making plans...and working together. That's how partnerships work. |
