One season isn't going to undo 28 years of futility. The Pirates fanbase has steadily returned after three competitive seasons, I'm guessing the Royals fanbase will follow a similar process, especially with the introduction of dynamic pricing.

Many of those years spent in complete futility and utter embarrassment. fuck you. The fans have every reason to be cynical and skeptical. The past two weeks is a perfect example of why that is the case. The home stand against Florida and Washington is another great example. Win on a consistent basis and the crowds will be there. Flirt with the wild card once in twenty eight years and people are going to be hesitant to spend their money to go to a game. Once again, fuck you.

WE are the customer. It is incumbent up on the franchise to put forth a product we are willing to spend money on. Until they show that commitment on a regular basis the customers are going to be hesitant to spend their hard earned dollars in a down economy (or even a good one for that matter) on something that gives them little to no return.
