I don't really care about what the PC offers, I like the convenience of the console and I like playing the exclusives that come to consoles.
I only buy one or two games a year so sales and stuff don't mean much to me. Really the only games I do buy are shooters and I wouldn't want to be at a disadvantage because the guy who killed me spent more money on his PC than I did or is hacking or some shit.

PC market is bigger, and getting bigger, thats a fact.
Out of all the defense in the name of consoles you are citing the best one, convenience. That is good enough for some people. And no one said they where going away any time soon. In fact, this thread, and the whole PC v Console argument as a whole, is really centered around the fact, that people that don't know shit, keep claiming that PC gaming is the one dying, when it is most assuredly not.
Consoles ARE more convenient. Slightly. But you also have to pair them with either a smart device or a pc to even have this conversation.
As for shooters, honestly. FPS on controllers is utter shit. Its like driving without power steering, and nobody kills you becuase he spent more money on his PC. Hackers are rarely a problem in any game, and guess what, people have hacked on 360s for years, and I would bet my ass people are already doing it on the new systems. Not to mention since your brand new 'next gen' console is really a ****ing PC, you are going to start seeing more of it, and with increased sophistication.
