Then go after Romo and a draft QB, or Garoppolo. Do the due diligence on both scenarios. One or the other.

And don't say no to Garoppolo just because of Matt. Matt was Pioli's boy. Scouted him as a TE while he was at USC, became infatuated with making him a QB, and was hell bent on proving he knew what he was doing. Different situation altogether if Dorsey and Reid see Garoppolo as a guy who can take us to the next level.

**** that. I will say "no" to Giraffolo because of Matt all day, and every day due to the laziness such a move represents.

Never again, please.

Then again, Belechick may be out the door with Brady when the time comes and may not give a ****. Who knows, but I don't trust the Pats either way. **** dealing with them at all.

This.

Because it's hopelessly unlikely that someone's halfway developed 3rd-4th round backup will blossom into a QB better than Alex Smith.

Yes, I said it. How many traded backup experiments have we seen across the league over the years? How many of them worked out BETTER than what Alex Smith has given us?

Let that not be a statement in praise of Alex Smith. Let that be a statement against backup QBs who get traded.

Yes, ALL of them. I don't care what the **** you see on tape. Dorsey had a ****ing chance to draft Garrapolo and ****ing passed. And now that he looked good on tape for 2 games with New England that's all of a sudden an acceptable solution for his QB problems?

****. That.

I'll bet every ****ing dollar I've got that Garrapolo is not the answer. For ANY team, except the outside possibility of New England should he stick around that team long enough to witness Tom Brady retiring and get handed the reins.

We didn't have a 2nd round pick, and they did bring him in for a pre draft visit.

All the talk about preparing for 'life after Brady', when Brady wants to play into his mid-40s.

Brady can think that all he wants, but father time is coming to collect sooner than later.

Just because he wants to, doesn't mean he will physically be able to. Age catches up to everyone eventually.

I just don't see how 1 of the following doesn't take significant damage in a full NFL season in 2017: ankle, back, rotator cuff.

That suspension handed down to him was a blessing in disguise.

No he thought Geno Smith was a franchise QB. You can't say Dorsey is a great GM then bash him because he goes and gets a QB via trade,

This.

Brady has 2 to 3 more years. Grop is set to sign a larger deal next year, and the Pats know they will probably lose him, unless Brady retires after this year. They aren't moving on from him because they don't like him, they're moving on because they know he will walk next year and they will have no compensation, or they will have to resign him to a more expensive contract to sit on the bench for another year or two. I'm team Grop for sure..

I can and will.

No more of that shit. Grow balls and do your own drafting.

I'd rather have Janeane Garofalo than Jimmy Garoppolo
