Interesting.

It appears that the Washington loss completely shifted the model. I'm almost certain that her model has the Steelers in the SB last week.

It actually did but, this is another week!

A bit OT but since I'm here I'll ask. When did you guys know that Mahomes was special?

When he threw that crazy pass to Demarcus Robinson against the Broncos in 2017 during his rookie year on the last drive

The Steelers 6 touchdown game just kind of confirmed it

But it was sort of gradual, momentum built with every game. Every single game, he made a throw that would make your jaw drop. The comeback against the Broncos on MNF in 2018 turned him into a national star, and he. Just. Hasn’t. Stopped.

I think we can exploit them pretty much anywhere on offense. Unless tua becomes Steve young x 2.5. Even if he throws for 3 tds. That means mahomes got 6. They aren't able to run on us, all there rbs belong to us.

Do you think they would drop DD back and have him play a more traditional safety role? If they do that, is it DOD playing close to the LOS, or do they just go with straight nickel as the base defense since the Dolphins have their top 3 running backs out for the game?

Matthieu is so important for this defense, I feel like trying to figure out how to replace him does not really have any good solution.

Yeah, autocorrect has it with 2 Ts, and I was too lazy to fix it on my phone.

But, I bet you know who TF I was talking about.

For me, it was the Broncos game in 2018. His first primetime game, in DEN. The Broncos got a lead, the stadium was rocking, and so was their pass rush. I turned to my buddy and said, “If Mahomes suddenly becomes Alex Smith or worse here, we’ll know he isn’t the One. But if he finds a way to win this game, from behind, in these conditions, we’ve got a real QB.”

And then Mahomes not only won the game, he did it in what would become his signature style.

For me, any doubts died that night.

Some of us were ready before the draft. Check out his game against LSU where he was playing against a team loaded with NFL talent but was clearly the best player on the field.

As a Chief? He looked like he was going to dominate the NFL in his first preseason.

If Flores goes with the NE style gameplan, he doubles Hill at all times, puts his best cover corner on Watkins (Byron Jones), and mugs Kelce with variations of double coverage too. Everyone else one on one.

That’s where you need to be able to run the ball a little, and yeah, guys like Hardman and Robinson need to make some plays when their chances come. You give Hardman enough 1v1s and eventually he’s gonna run away from the guy trying to cover him, probably a few times. Just has to make the plays.

But Miami cannot stop the run like that 2018 Pats team.....so my prediction is that CEH goes off today.....similar game plan to the Bills game earlier this year.....take the shots when there, but run like crazy against them and minimize the impact of the one thing they seem to be great at.

Which means we will ball control them, and when they start to wear down, things will open up....
