Jags blew their load too quick. Chiefs will take care of them, especially in the 4th quarter.

**** the Jaguars

Doesn't have the same ring to it as **** the Raiders or **** Donks For-Ever but nevertheless **** the Jaguars.

Rape the Jaguars

Now that's kinda catchy. Hope others think so too. What say you REAL SNR?

Skin the Jaguar seems better than beastiality to me.

The absolute best part of this game is Andy will not have to open the playbook. Bills/Bengals should be preparing thy anuses.

In all honesty, I think the result of the game is obviously predictable.

I've been perusing this thread, and I don't think I've seen much first quarter talk. That's what fascinates me.

The Chiefs have had some slow starts in their playoffs openers...the Texans game obviously comes to mind.

Do you think Chiefs come into this game just expecting an easy win, and so they start off not taking the Jags seriously?

Do the Jags come down from an emotional high or do they start off the game carrying their momentum from last week?

Obviously, the Chiefs will be the Chiefs whenever they decide to be... it seems like the Jags are very comfortable crashing down on ball-carriers between the tackles, If I'm a Chiefs fan I would hope for some jet sweeps and other type of running plays for wide receivers and Mahomes outside the tackles. I think the Chiefs' best weapon will be Kelce.

Trevor has been shaky these past two weeks, obviously affected by the playoff atmosphere...and those were home games! Do the Chiefs have corners who are comfortable covering shorter routes, the way the Chargers knew to do in the first half?

A slow start is certainly possible and also the worry coming off the bye… but this is an experienced offense with a lot of maturity. I’d be mildly surprised if the O is sluggish due to the layoff.

Since the Houston game, the first playoff game of the year (Browns; Steelers) has been one where the team came out firing and the offense has been crisp to start the game.

Yeah, I feel like 2018 & 2019 were nerves, especially the Texans game with all of the unforced errors.

I believe the Steelers game started with a few punts and maybe was just sluggish, but as they do so very often, once the Steelers scored, they promptly got it together.

Gosh, I lost track of it with the complete blowout it turned into, but that game did start with a scoreless first quarter and a fumble return for a TD by T.J. Watt (trick play - Hardman-Williams botched handoff).

I’m kind of scared of Doug Pederson.

Cdnjagfan14 01-17-2023 08:15 AM

you should be scared of Trevor Lawrence, he can throw 4 picks and still come back and win the game. he is a leader and can move the ball when he is in his zone he is unstoppable the same can be said about mahomes.

which ever QB shows up and starts faster wins the game.

LOL. If Lawrence throws 4 picks this game, the Jags lose by 20 plus. Welcome to the deep end of the pool.

Sure. He's gonna go for it all the time on 4th down. Trick plays, unconventional stuff, etc. He knows that line 'em up and play his team vs the Chiefs, he has no shot. He's playing with house money and he's not afraid. The Jags will either convert a bunch and we'll have a game on our hands or the Chiefs are going to end up with several short fields and if we convert, it could be blowout city.

Cdnjagfan14 01-17-2023 08:18 AM

well he isn't going to throw 4 picks he might throw 5 TD in a shootout with Mahomes. i expect a clean game from Trevor which outside of the Chargers game he had only thrown 1 pick in 6 games.

Mahomes is the best comeback QB ever.

Sunshine has had half of a good season.

I can tell you were a Derek Bortles fan.

Cdnjagfan14 01-17-2023 08:19 AM
