George Brett's HR in game 3 of the 1980 ALCS off of Gossage. I still remember that one like it was this afternoon. Beautiful feeling. |

Can they please pitch Gregerson again? He is the same ball of shit that the Royals got to face last year in the Wildcard late with Oakland. Please please pitch him again. We will light his punk ass up.

Today was a brilliant example of everything great about sports: excruciating lows and unbelievable highs. The staggering thing for KC fans is that we end with the latter...once again.
Yosted. |

It blows that Tim Collins got injured. We could really use him now instead of Madsen. |

Was told that McCullers doing the throat slash was a primary piece of Moustakas's expletive-filled motivational speech before the start of the 8th inning.
Fired those guys up. A lot. |

I agree with those rankings. I still have all of those recorded too. I need to transfer the beta & vhs tapes to DVD. |
Weren't there some good come backs in the 70s playoffs as well? I guess not good enough to send us to the next level.

Anyone watching the Cubs/Cards game should give a silent thanks to Eric Hosmer's ball-digging skills.

Yeah that's not gonna make any great comeback top ten lists.

Gotta give props to Rios. His leadoff base hit was big in the 8th.

Madson isn't garbage, but I also can't say I'm that comfortable with him in there either I personally trust Herrera more in big situations, but they aren't separated by much.

So...anything neat happen today?

I'm rewatching the 8th inning for the first of many many times.

Still can't believe we witnessed that today.

That was classic. |
Pray harder next time Stros fans!

Great day Great night seeing the Cards suck it in Chicago.

That douche Jason La Canfora dropped this gem just before the 8th inning today. Needless to say he was absolutely destroyed 45 mins later.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The post-season won't be the same without the Royals. Hard to imagine how MLB survived for those 30 yrs they didn't make it. I'm all torn up</p>— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) <a href="https://twitter.com/JasonLaCanfora/status/653662469861326848">October 12, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Announcers are really freaking easy on Correa during the 8th. SHOCKED that ball that was right in his glove if he just watched it in would be ruled an error.

I honestly see us rolling these guys on Wednesday. Obviously we have to TCOB, but it's hard to see how that win won't propel us forward.

Oh. Well he can **** off! |

BTW, statcast had Hosmer's bomb measured at 452'

I read the SNR post with the assumption he was being grossly sarcastic about Madson/Collins

I think we really mentally messed up Orioles fans last year. They're going to hate us forever like the Chiefs hate the Colts. Angry bunch, they are.
|
La canfora is such a ****. Almost as much of a **** as our very own twitter bitch. That guy never did recover to become a regular poster after what the Royals did to him.
It feels so nice to have a team some people actually hate cuz you ****ed all their **** holes raw and packed the wounds with glass shards. |

That called strike 3 on Esky to end the 8th was total BS. It was at his shoulders and the catcher framed it down to his armpits. Still rarely called a strike even where the frame was.
You'd think being such free swingers the umps would give us close take calls. But instead it works the opposite. |

Guthrie wore a shirt ... and the Royals swept them and danced after stealing 2nd base and they are butthurt over that? God damn. I gave Houston there well deserved props when I thought we had lost the series for being the better team ... you'd think O's fans could've done the same thing
I have no problem tipping my cap to a team that outplays my team. |
Cespedes just hit a 3-run rocket shot to give the Mets a 10-3 lead in the 4th. Damn

Also the big single, and the triple last year was hardly front-running. |

When someone posted the Astros thread, my thought was I'd rather see that douche's twitter feed the next time the Royals beat the O's in the playoffs... but, the responses to his tweet this afternoon will do. LMAO |
Holy shit. Mets fans chanting "WE WANT UTLEY". Awesome.
|
It's kind of amazing that LaCanfora is allowed to act so unprofessionally on social media and so much like a "fan."
Most journalists are far, far above, the way he acts on there. |

What did the royals do to the orioles besides kick the living dogshit out of them?

Man if you were looking for things to fall the Royals' way:
1) Win Wed. 2) Somehow Texas beats Toronto 3) Beat Texas 4) Dodgers, Cards lose their series - no facing cards or Kershaw/Greinke |
You know, it's funny. I was talking to some friends today about the Royals series and how the Astros have just outplayed KC while also getting most of the lucky breaks, too.
And I was fine with it. I wasn't developing hate for the Astros or anything. I wasn't going to spend the next year hating them and desperately enjoying their every failure. I was going to be sad, but that's baseball. Apparently, Orioles fans just aren't that mature. |

The O's hate of us should really be directed to their under-performing big time players in the playoffs.....cough cough.....Adam Jones. They also should have kept Jim Johnson. :D |
I'm still in shock to witness comebacks like that in the playoffs within 12 months of each other. I was telling a guy at work, that just doesn't happen. Down 4 with 6 outs left and it's happened twice.
|
There was a t shirt too guys. East coast toughness can be shattered by printed words on cotton apparently.
|
The hate of Ryan Madson is just stupid. He's one of our best relievers, his stuff is great and he pitched great in numerous high leverage situations this year. More high leverage than anyone else not named Davis in our pen. He's been very good. 2.13 ERA, .96 WHIP and 8 K's/9. That a lower ERA and WHIP than Herrera and just as many K's per 9 as him as well.
He has been our second best reliever, no question. |
