Mother bitches.

I'll gladly exchange boring cowtown for that absolute mess of a shit-hole. Believe me, I've spent more time in HOU than any other City that I've never lived in. The only redeeming features are that they have NBA basketball and they are on the water. Besides that, ugh.

Can they please pitch Gregerson again? He is the same ball of shit that the Royals got to face last year in the Wildcard late with Oakland. Please please pitch him again. We will light his punk ass up.

That would be #2 in my opinion. That Brett bomb off Gossage sent us to the WS. The WC GAME would be #3, and today's game #4. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING beats '85 Game 6.

Read way too much of that thread - we take for granted the level of baseball knowledge shared even in our GDT's. Disappointing read from a baseball perspective, however Astro tears taste delicious.

I agree with those rankings.

I still have all of those recorded too. I need to transfer the beta & vhs tapes to DVD.

Game 5 of the 76 ALCS @Yankee Stadium. Royals are down 6-3 in the top of the 8th. Brett hits a 3-run bomb off Grant Jackson to tie the game. What a moment for the young Royals.....only to have their heart ripped out in the 9th by the epic Chambliss bomb of Mark Littell

That called strike 3 on Esky to end the 8th was total BS. It was at his shoulders and the catcher framed it down to his armpits. Still rarely called a strike even where the frame was.

You'd think being such free swingers the umps would give us close take calls. But instead it works the opposite.

That's ok. Front runners seal games for you. They put the dagger in. The Chiefs need some front runners. The bottom of the 9th inning changes completely after the leadoff single if we're up only 1 run.

Also the big single, and the triple last year was hardly front-running.

Man if you were looking for things to fall the Royals' way:

1) Win Wed.

3) Beat Texas
4) Dodgers, Cards lose their series - no facing cards or Kershaw/Greinke

duncan_idaho 10-12-2015 08:40 PM

You know, it's funny. I was talking to some friends today about the Royals series and how the Astros have just outplayed KC while also getting most of the lucky breaks, too.

And I was fine with it. I wasn't developing hate for the Astros or anything. I wasn't going to spend the next year hating them and desperately enjoying their every failure. I was going to be sad, but that's baseball.

Apparently, Orioles fans just aren't that mature.

It's bizarre considering we swept them. It's not like it was some series for the ages. We strolled into the bedroom, ****ed their wife in the ass, and wiped our dick on their pillow. Sometimes the better team just wins, and those losses should be easy to accept.

Yup, I don't hate a team just because they beat us. Hell, if the Astros win this series I'll probably root for them to go all the way.

The O's hate of us should really be directed to their under-performing big time players in the playoffs.....cough cough.....Adam Jones.

They also should have kept Jim Johnson. :D

SPchief 10-12-2015 08:45 PM

I'm still in shock to witness comebacks like that in the playoffs within 12 months of each other. I was telling a guy at work, that just doesn't happen. Down 4 with 6 outs left and it's happened twice.

Pablo 10-12-2015 08:47 PM

There was a t shirt too guys. East coast toughness can be shattered by printed words on cotton apparently.

lewdog 10-12-2015 08:49 PM

The hate of Ryan Madson is just stupid. He's one of our best relievers, his stuff is great and he pitched great in numerous high leverage situations this year. More high leverage than anyone else not named Davis in our pen. He's been very good. 2.13 ERA, .96 WHIP and 8 K's/9. That a lower ERA and WHIP than Herrera and just as many K's per 9 as him as well.

He has been our second best reliever, no question.
