I just asked Andy Reid about Patrick Mahomes' leadership ability. In his answer, Reid looked at me & said, "he's made some of you guys better writers."

I seriously think Andy has an entire chapter of plays in his playbook that he has never used before. Shit that he has saved for moments like this. I remember Pat saying some of his favorite plays that they ran in practice haven’t been used yet.

Andy knows that the Patriots defense is not good, that his QB butt****ed them in their house in one half and they barely beat us at the buzzer despite playing our worst half of the season.

I think that’s why Andy is so goddamn giddy. He know that they can’t stop us. He knows that they know they can’t stop us.

We are going to blow these ****ers out this weekend.

Hurry up Sunday, let’s just obliterate these ****ers already and end their run in humiliating fashion. This is it for them. Next year the decline will continue and they’ll either miss the playoffs or get bounced when they have to go on the road. By then it will be obvious that the Chiefs are the new (untainted) dynasty, and the Patriots will be old news. A fresh, far more exciting and entertaining dynasty that will win fans worldwide because they just can’t help but tune in to see what he’ll do next. And never shall he be quoted saying such loathsome stupidity as “I’m a machine, man, I’m a ****ing machine.”

Wow what a matchup but I like Kansas City to walk away with the W at home at Arrowhead. I remember some legendary games back in the old AFC West between KC and my Hawks.

Ass Rockah 01-16-2019 09:38 PM

Williams stepped up big time since Hunt’s stanky ass got cut

FringeNC 01-16-2019 09:41 PM

Just re-watched the week 6 on NFL GamePass. The D was as bad as we remember. But when on O, the Patriots pressured Mahomes very little. If the Pats don't pressure Mahomes more than they did in week 6, I'm very confident in our chances. I just don't think NE matches up well with us.

Ass Rockah 01-16-2019 09:55 PM

Defensively KC looked very sufficient last week. I look for that same aggressive blitzing attack but jam the receivers at the LOS like you did when you schooled Luck.

Ass Rockah 01-16-2019 09:57 PM

I’ve seen 2 different Chief’s defense this year but in the playoffs I bet the nasty one shows up. Chiefs D has a mean streak which is needed for these late playoff runs

Red Dawg 01-16-2019 09:59 PM

I feel like Gronk is being forgotten. He has been invisible in the passing game but this is his last year with NE. He may get targeted more for certain. Out of no where they run plays for him.

I imagine the last 10 games of the season probably convinced Hoodie to do just that. "He's such a genious (CP spelling) that he probably knew he would be meeting the Chiefs in the AFCCG and decided to keep it vanilla." Patriots fan

Oh and Patriots with a space equals Pat Riots. NE is screwed.

Lost power 30 mins before the colts game. Fired the generator up and got the TV back on. Found out I lost my internet / cable at the same time. And since I loaned my digital antenna to my son, I ended up listening on the radio.

GRRRRR!!!

Got everything back today (finally), have a new antenna and WILL NOT miss this game!!!

After you've been to 8 straight AFC championship games and won and been to all these bowls...if you need to act like you are an underdog and even create a twitter hashtag about it...

To me that means as a team you have a ****ing problem, if you have a problem getting up for the AFC title game that you have to create a narrative that doesn't exist, good ****ing luck.

They never do.

Pressure of any kind = "blitzing" even if they get a sack rushing 3.

Lack of pressure = "soft zone" even if there's 7 guys rushing the passer.

How many encroachment penalties did the Colts have to help lose that game? I lost count. KC did nothing else the rest of the way, except for a garbage time score to fool you fans into thinking it was a solid win. The Chiefs escaped a team that had looked so good to close out their season (10-1), and then laid an egg in the Playoffs.

I wasn't impressed because with the Colts looking that bad, I would have expected the Chiefs to lay 50 on them.

Colts went 3-and-out on their first four possessions, gained like 12 yards the first 28 minutes of game play, and were 0-9 on 3rd down conversions. They might not play another game this poorly again in the franchise's existence, but yeah, they were somehow poised to win had this, that and someone or another done something or something

Those are some great tickets. Right above where the Chiefs come out the tunnel. Great view.

Was just rewatching that almost touchdown that Hill had at the end of the 3rd quarter. Man, he has got to stop throwing up that peace sign right in players faces like that. Very lucky he didn't receive a penalty for it. It was one thing when he was doing it toward the crowd on his way to paydirt but doing it right at players has got to stop.

Patriots obviously try to exploit the weaknesses in a defense so against KC, I fully expect 5-6 passes to be thrown to Gronk. I was not surprised at all with how Gronk was used last week. I fully expected it since it was logical to deploy him that way.

I may be wrong but win or lose this year, I suspect Gronk is back for 1-2 more years. He won't be a player that sticks around like Antonio Gates playing for low valued contracts but I don't think he walks away after this year even if Patriots win the Super Bowl.

My best guess is he retires after next season or the year after that. His current demise which will accelerate in all likelihood is ridiculously overstated. Yes, he has lost a little speed but he was never Hill. Still a huge target with very good hands that is tough to take down and still a great blocker for a tight end.

I doubt he goes to another team unless they pay him funny money which another team probably wouldn't at this point.

Put an elite/near elite defender on him and Gronk is no longer worthy of many throws to him. Patriots now clearly realize -- see Chargers game plan -- that and that is probably a huge reason they used him less as a receiver against the Chargers. But defenses have to pick and choose how to deploy their elite defenders and shade their defenses so Gronk still has very good value if he can sometimes win his fair share of match ups against good
to very good defenders. And he can do that when reasonably healthy.

I expect Gronk to get 75+ yards against the Chiefs and to be much more of a genuine threat than he was in the 2nd Super Bowl against the Giants when he was playing with a super banged up ankle. Chiefs can live with the 75 yards. The real question is whether or not he gets in the end zone and he hasn't done that good of a job of that this year.

I really don't think KC will be confused by the Patriots offense or the Patriots overly confused by the Chiefs defense. Patriots will use Gronk as a receiver a decent amount but Chiefs will expect it.

Well, I would suspect Eric Berry may be on Gronk once again and your guess is as good as ours whether that constitutes an "elite/near elite defender" in coverage.

The Chargers run Gus Bradley’s defense. They play zone, which should help a TE. For example, Travis Kelce had 7 catches against them at Arrowhead.

Impact of Chiefs fans? ZERO.

Per Pats fans.

Have a couple of friends heading to the game on Sunday and they were planning on bringing either cardboard or a blanket to stand on to insulate themselves from the concrete. I thought I remember hearing that this wasn't allowed anymore, but I haven't made it to a game the last couple of seasons. Is this correct?

No, it's allowed.

LMAO Perfect. Luck is the only player who Gridiron Heights does a completely accurate impression of.

I'm going to bring peices of insulated foam board to stand on, other on here say it works great. You can get it at Menards, home depot, etc.

GermanChief 01-17-2019 12:41 PM

If they fear to loose at Arrowhead they should work harder instead of selling stupid t-shirts, writing stupid messages and crying into the mics.

BleedingRed 01-17-2019 01:11 PM

God I hope we rape them, I’m going to secretly join a bunch of patriots board and hide, waiting to rub it in

The Pats can't stop this offense, only Pat can. ;)

I don't understand why people use this as a slight. Sure it sucks for the player. But they probably needed to promote a player from the practice squad for the game. They at least gave the cut player the experience of preparing for the game, and all the pre media stuff as opposed to being cut and being off the team and not able to experience all that. If they win, no doubt they would have given the cut player a Super Bowl ring.
