The two silver linings I remember from the Bucs SB loss were Patrick Mahomes and CEH. Both those guys were fighting for every inch, CEH consistently made something out of nothing in that game.

I'm excited for him running behind the new line.

This. Wish Andy would have stuck with running the ball more as it was working early when we did run. That and some screens and quick slants. Still infuriating thinking about how badly that game was managed all the way through.

While we're at it, we should've drafted Metcalf over Hardman.

I do wonder if we still would've drafted Hardman if the Hill shit wasn't going down.

All of this over a couple of running backs.

We have the best QUARTERBACK in the league. Who ****ing cares about RB?

I mean...yeah. It's not an exact science I guess. I'm just glad we have Veach because he's right 90% of the time and when he isn't he cuts bait fast and replaces guys with gems.

The fact that he managed to round up two first round CBs for pennies is amazing.

And again, I do think Hardman and CEH are going to be better this year. CEH is going to have a lot more room to make those cuts we drooled over last season.

What's reeruned is ignoring Jonathan Taylor's actual tape because you don't want to admit he is better than we thought he'd be, which he is. Especially in the passing game.

Look I hate the Colts but I'm not going to ignore the evidence to prop my guy up. It's plain as day that the guy has it.

Nobody said Jonathan Taylor sucks (except when directed at Ubeja).

I'm saying let's all wait a ****ing minute. Like longer than one season.

Nah man. It’s set in stone now.

CEH doesn’t even get a look behind an OL that isn’t bottom 3 in run blocking first.

RunKC 08-17-2021 01:25 PM

Antonio Callaway gone

We really thought he’d be here lmao

Kiimo 08-17-2021 01:28 PM

That's fair.

Maybe I should rephrase this to make it more palatable.

I was very wrong, so far, about Taylor's ability to catch and not fumble. Based on his performance last season, he's being drafted in first rounds across fantasy leagues. He clearly turned it on in the final six games of the season or so.

That could absolutely change. But as of right now he appears to be the better draft choice.

I would LOVE to be proven wrong.

Yeah certain posters on here are like 0/10 so far but we already knew that was gonna happen

Kiimo 08-17-2021 01:29 PM

Didn't Callaway get injured?

I kinda doubt it, he was strictly a hedge against losing Reek to a suspension IMO

Kiimo 08-17-2021 01:47 PM

Speaking of players I was wrong about in the draft...

I think there’s a stronger argument that we should’ve taken Antonio Gibson at the end of round 2 after drafting like Tee Higgins or Chase Claypool at the end of the first.

Of course, then we would’ve missed out on Willie Gay unless he fell to 96 (unlikely). Which then would cost us Niang.

All in all, I’m happy with our team. You can second guess any pick. I think we need to see what CEH does behind this line before we judge too harshly.
