Well, we don't have to over-analyze it. Kaep is better, and not one coach in the league would have taken Alex Smith over him.

Everyone lamenting Russel Wilson, but we could have had Kaep the year before.

**** I ****ing hate this ****ing shit.

Not to mention, he is 19-5-1 over the past two seasons with weapons similar to what he has in Kansas City. While being smart, he has learned how to win football games.

Another huge bonus of having Smith at quarterback is that he is a game-manager. He is unbelievably sharp with clock management. If you look at the final scores of the games Alex Smith started compared to the games Colin Kaepernick started, you’ll see that the 49ers defense gave up, on average, 17 more points with Kaepernick under center.

With Smith, the 49ers defense gave up, on average, 8 points a game in 2012. Why? Because they had time to rest. For the 49ers defense, it was like they came out fresh on every possession. It was all because Smith used time wisely. In my mind, if Kaepernick could learn how to use the clock, he would be elite. But, he doesn’t and his defense suffers.

And I keep telling you he didn't.

The 49ers were:

1. Near the bottom of the league in passing first downs.

2. Near the bottom of the league in third-down conversions.

Period. Fart. End of story.

Yeah... Kaep can come in and score a touchdown on two plays for KC any ****ing time he wants to. /chiefs defense

Designed sacks, the key to it all!

No, I stated specifically in early January, that he was not a first round draft choice, let alone worthy of 1.1. I've stated repeatedly that he may develop into a Franchise QB but that with today's CBA and need to win immediately, teams will not invest the first overall pick in a player that needs to sit for a year and learn.

You, on the other hand, have made 7,000 posts about how Geno Smith should be 1.1 and was the best QB in the draft. You've also stated that he is better than Cam Newton, which means that the Jets are your Super Bowl favorite, as his 30 TD's and 4,000 yards passing, along with that defense, means they're a virtual lock.

Says the guy who's cherry picked stats in order to create a False Narrative not only about Alex Smith but about nearly every Chiefs offseason acquisition.

You're outed, Claynus. Although it's certainly not the first time.

I remember the good old days when we blamed our defensive problems on Saunder's offense scoring too quickly.

Kaep ran out of bounds when scrambling and was more willing to go downfield.

Clock stops.

Running on 3rd and long before a punt and taking sacks keeps the clock moving...

The only stat that matters if you are talking about wether or not the Alex Smith led offense kept the SF defense fresh is time of possession. Who cares about the number of passing first downs? Maybe they stayed out of third and long situations. Who cares about number of third down conversions? If you get a first down with two plays, you don't see as many third downs.

The funny thing is Claynus doesn't even watch college football

Not one coach would take Alex over Kaep now....but I don't think you can say that from the Rams game when Alex was hurt until the Patriots game.
