I think the only thing preventing a trade for Earl is the compensation/money. It's been agreed to just need Berrys settlement I'm guessing or Seattle knowing we are desperate is playing hard ball

What likely happened last year was due to the pain of this bone spur, he overcompensated on the other leg and ruptured that Achilles.

And honestly, we shouldn’t be surprised if it happens again since they probably haven’t legitimately fixed anything.

Agree 100%.

I don’t see what the big deal is with Earl Thomas financially. We are about to have money after this season and Houston will most likely be gone after next season as well as Berry (if not sooner).

Wait it out, give up a 2nd+additional pick for ET and keep drafting defense.

Doesn’t hurt us at all.

He has had issues with the heel that is currently causing him issues for over 3 years.

He tore the other Achilles last year.

I hate to say it, but I see Eric having a career ending injury because of that heel in the first 3-4 games he tries to come back, but I hope I’m wrong.

If I’m KC I -IR with intent to return- Berry and bring him back for the last 2 games of the year and hope he can play in the playoffs and I’m already trading for Earl Thomas so my defense has a chance to compete in the playoffs against teams with a lot of talent in the passing game.

Matching against Amendola, Edelman, Gronkowski and their RBs in the playoffs against NE.

Facing Pittsburgh again, but with Bell.

Facing teams like the Vikings, Saints, Falcons or Giants in the Super Bowl.

Earl would play a huge role in every one of those matchups that could the difference between winning and losing if we have an off game and they have a great one.

Unless they get what they want, why would they make the trade before the deadline?

They can wait and hope for a better market to form if other teams have an injury and become interested in Thomas.

Because a team won't trade unless Thomas resigns

pugsnotdrugs19 09-29-2018 06:57 PM

I hate to say it but I kinda feel like the Twitter guy could be right.

BossChief 09-29-2018 06:58 PM

Huh? What twitter guy?

Ah, okay thanks. I didn't realize that other one had been a lingering problem.

I don't think so. Get the surgery done now and get him back next season in the absolute worst case scenario.
