Turtle, I don't have any faith in Sutton either and wished he were gone as well. But Sutton is NOT responsible for Peter's actions on/off the field. This organization tried to help Peters behind the scenes to get his "manure together" and I believe this really happened and it will come out in due time.

Peters "CHOSE" to not grow up and accept responsibility for his actions regardless IF Sutton pissed him off about playing certain schemes he did not like and doing his own thing on the field. THAT is ON PETERS pure and simple.

Enough of this Reid/Sutton are responsible for not managing/developing talent WHEN "the talent" CHOOSES NOT TO BE MANAGED/DEVELOPED !!

You can't change a person unless they want to change themselves, PERIOD !!!

He was pretty dominant in 2013 too, had 11 sacks in 11 games. 2012 was a solid year too.

I get the reasoning for wanting rid of the contract, I just think getting rid of him is too much turnover for this offseason. Let him show what he can do another offseason removed for the injury, and hopefully with better usage from Sutton.

You’re not getting dick for Justin Houston with that contract

I'm not talking about Peters when it comes to Sutton. He actually thrived in his system.

This is a complete horseshit move barring one of two things. A. They got a complete haul for Peters, which obviously didn't happen because it would have been announced by now. The fact we still don't know the compensation screams that we got fleeced. So, B. Peters must be an absolute cancer, and the entire league thinks he's a piece of shit that while talented, can't keep his emotions in check to be reliable in any given situation.

Either way, barring him being a complete shit stain in the locker room that brings the team down, how do you let this guy go when you legitimately have 4 years of control left? 2 years pretty cheap even. Was he REALLY that bad in the locker room?

Gonna have a hard time selling me on him being so unmanageable that his production wasn't worth it. I've got an absolute piece of shit working for me right now, but he makes me so much money I wouldn't dream of letting him go. I deal with his bullshit, and cash my checks.

That's exactly where I'm at. We were the biggest Peters homers in the pre-draft days of 2015, and you obviously touted him long before me as a Huskies fan. I just find it really hard to believe that whatever bullshit Peters was stirring in the locker room couldn't be contained and dealt with.

When a player of yours generates the NFL's highest number of INTs and PDs since he entered the league, you better figure out how to be more patient.

Laughed at by other teams

For that level of compensation, I'd want proof that he actually killed someone. Not just eyewitness proof, but actual video.

Maybe two people.

And even then, I would think twice about trading him for that deal. Denver proved it's possible to win a Super Bowl with a murderer on your team. Probably multiple murderers, actually.

And hell, throw a rapist like Peyton Manning into the mix, too.

No doubt it’s telling that Dorsey and Ballard didn’t want him now.

First hand accounts told the rest of the league GMs(except the Rams who look at this as a potential steal because of a desperate team to get rid of a 'malcontent') to stay away for sure!!

Im not the expert but if you traded him this year, wouldn't you be getting him minus the 12 mill the Chiefs would have to eat? So 20 mill cap hit minus 12 that 8 mill they pay plus they could restructure for future years.

Crazy to watch this again and see him talk about all the love he felt for the Chiefs and how he could tell
How much they wanted him

Guys, neither team is allowed to announce anything until March 14th without heavy fines and loss of draft picks.

Sean McVay was asked about the Peters trade last night at the 101 Banquet and said he couldn't say anything without being slapped with tampering charges.

Either A. We were completely taken to the house or B. They are still working out the details. Eh tough to say but frustrating none the least.

The character concerns of Talib/etc didn't hurt the team. They had great chemistry

Peters isn't being dumped for being a "bad character." It's probably because he is toxic to the locker room

Sort of like the difference between T.O and Ray Rice.

Rice wasn't a locker room cancer to the best of my knowledge. And T.O. wasn't a thug. But one of those guys continually got traded, the other didn't.
