Does anyone dispute SF would have still gone to the playoffs? I cant see that.
I posted once they got to the playoffs, no telling what happens, especially considering 2011 and how close they came then. Again not an outlandish claim by any stretch of the imagination.

The response I got was he didn't finish the season and was traded to the Chiefs so that somehow disputes everything I said.

So yea, this place is chock full of morons.

yes, facts undue conjecture..that's how it works, whining doesn't change it

Harbaugh replaced his injury prone, leashed QB with his personal hand picked QB...because he knew Smith wasn't good enough and would need to be replaced

and he was proven right

and we got Smith off their bench...those are facts

It's not. 90 percent of this place was on board with Daboll.

Including you.

A bunch of BS about how "We finally have a real OC not Haley's bullshit" mostly. That and "look what he did with Matt Moore!"

The other 50% feel is was Joekel) 's view. He is, unfortunately for positional value, a right tackle right now, which is a position that could doubtlessly have been upgraded in a less costly way. So how the **** is that drafting for need?

Seems to me, they had a board and stayed true to it, regardless of need.

So you can hate on that if you want, but history shows that teams that approach the draft in that manner tend to do better over the long haul than teams that reach for need.

Please just save this and copy/paste anytime people wanna have a tantrum about the Fisher pick.

You're a ****ing liar.

I was not on board with Daboll at any point in time last off-season, preseaon or at all.

Harbaugh took one look at Smith and knew he had to draft his own QB, and he did, then he slapped a leash on Smith, then benched him, and then traded him...oh yeah, and then went to the Superbowl

repeat: Alex Smith, not good enough for the best young coach in the league

prior to Harbaugh slapping a leash on him, he had 5 years of proving nothing...in the last 5 years he has played more than 11 games exactly ONCE

but listening to you guys, damn, he's this swashbuckling, strong armed, injury free god who carried the 49ers to the Super...err, to the bench

and according to our resident Smith stalker, he has a golden rod and children with large vulvas and shining morals...not that he cares or anything (to the tune of 100 posts per day about alex smith)

so, carry on with the Chiefs Tiger Beat Coverage of our dreamy new stud fresh off a California bench

Hang on just a sec....

Smith had a crap line for most of his career...

Smith helped take Harbaugh 1 Special Teams ****up away from a Super Bowl appearance in Harbaugh's first year...

He threw 13 TD's in 10 games before he got hurt last year and was one of the top rated QB's in the league...

Kapernick had a lower QB rating than Smith and only had .5 more avg yards passing and Kaepernick fumbled the ball twice as much while taking sacks at roughly the same clip as Smith

In other words Kapernick was more flashy but all in all the stats don't show THAT much of a difference between the two. Harbaugh went with the hot hand and played it smart getting good draft picks for Smith was was one of the league's top QB's in the last 2 years

Fair enough. There was plenty of support for Daboll on the board though.

To me, the Sutton hire is very similar.

BossChief 08-07-2013 06:55 PM

Youre stretching the truth about the Daboll hire.

There was a brief moment in time when a few people were in wait and see mode with the guy, but that quickly wore off.

The only thing a few people clung to was the offensive production of Miami the second half of the year...but that also was dismissed by most.

The Bad Guy 08-07-2013 06:56 PM

Yeah, really was on board with Daboll.

This is just a complete joke. A laughingstock joke.

I hate this team more and more each day.

This is what the "exec of the decade" builds? This team has no current depth, a shit coaching staff, and the league looks at him like he's an iron fist dictator.

If Daboll is given full reigns of this offense, we are ****ing screwed.

The competition for the QB position is going to be Matt Cassel and Matt Moore. That's like being put in a wet t-shirt contest with Delta Burke and Kiristie Alley.

FML.

It's not even in the same stratosphere. Daboll was hired because of his connections. Reid went outside his tree, hired an aggressive coordinator that would keep the 3-4 and put pressure on offenses.

petegz28 08-07-2013 06:57 PM

Hey, I'll admit I was on the Daboll bandwagon for a bit. I couldn't imagine someone being worse than Haley but was proven wrong

Don't blame me on your inability to -

A. Get the point
B. Be able to think objectively

You dont like the trade because you dont like it. I know this.

BTW you are the one constantly whining about pretty much everything Chiefs related.

Only thing I am worried about is I keep hearing the defense talking about all these different looks and offenses not knowing where teams are coming from and what not. I just hope we don't get Greg Robinson syndrome
