Looking at Great Blue North Draft Report, we haven't taken anyone lower than 5th in their positional rankings.

Oooh, Slaton. Not an every down back, but he's basically Felix Jones two rounds later.

So basically, he's Felix Jones if Felix Jones had been picked where he should have been?

Here is what Rivals.com has to say about our 3rd Round picks this far:

10 (73) Kansas City Chiefs Jamaal Charles RB Texas
Murphy: Charles is an explosive game-breaker that can complement Larry Johnson very well and give them an exciting weapon out in the open field. The Chiefs still have two more picks in Round 3; look for DE to come next.

13 (76) Kansas City Chiefs Brad Cottam TE Tennessee
Murphy: Cottam fills several voids for the Chiefs. He is an above-average athlete for his size. He is a future replacement for Tony Gonzalez. Having lost Kris Wilson in free agency, the Chiefs had a lack of quality depth at the position.

19 (82) Kansas City Chiefs
(from Minnesota) DaJuan Morgan SS NC State
Murphy: With Greg Wesley likely on the way out, Morgan is a solid value choice here. He can battle Jarrad Page for the starting free safety spot down the road.

Thanks for the info

Slaton to Houston, interesting pick.

I really like Slaton, I was hoping we'd get him in the 4th or 5th before the Charles pick.

I think you just found their secret cheat sheet.

Green Bay needed a great white hope. Glad it was them and not us.

More importantly, we have three new starters with our three defensive picks.

Morgan isn't going to start.

Don't they have like 20 already?

We'll see he's more physically gifted than our safeties.

ROFL...Ok.

Slaton needs to slim back down. He put on some weight trying to prove he's an every down back and got a lot slower and less effective in the process.

Any bets?

Bears take Harrison from Arkansas

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-27-2008 09:18 AM

The Bears make the pick the Lions should have made if they were drafting a DT.
