Unfortunately - they showed him in the previews for the next episode. That's why I made the comment of thanking AMC for the spoilers.

Just started with episode one, season one on Netflix. I'm sick as hell, can't talk, but thought I'd start going though episodes. I figure by Friday I could be close to caught up.

Thanks, I missed the obvious.

If they keep Merle around, then obviously that creates more dramatic tension with Glen and Maggie.

Rick, too. He was, after all, the guy who locked him up and left him to die (at least in his mind) on the roof. Don't think he would fit too well into a group with Rick as the leader or his younger brother having more responsibility than him.

Also, i need to go watch again, but did we miss a scene where Daryl got captured? How did the Govenor know who he was?
No, pretty sure it was designed that way to be a surprise at the end.

It probably doesn't mean anything but Norman Reedus is one of the scheduled guests at an event at the Midland in February: http://www.axs.com/artists/910/the-walking-dead-live

Along with Steve Yeun & Lauren Cohan.

It's my birthday and Lauren Cohan is in town...

Coincedence?

Happy birthday, man. Post pics, or it didn't happen.*

I thought about going, but I don't believe in birthday miracles that would end up with a copy of Maggie's room key for the night in my possession.

Alas, this is the real world.

Oh....and once again the nearly fatal flaw of this season was Michone again. Why did she go back to kill the Govenor? The show fails over and over again to define her characters actions. It was a cool fight, but why would she go back for him?

B/c he sent a party of his goons out to kill her, not to mention kidnapping innocent people. It was personal.

She might just try to get back with the group. She doesn't know Shane is dead, and probably trusts that group more...

Was I though only one who thought the glass to the eye was the most graphic thing on the show to date... it about made my eyes bug out just thinking about it.
The shard of glass still sticking in there when he was holding his daughter...

Wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping Merle around to turn him from villain to antihero eventually (or at least something in between that that pops up from time to time). Of course, maybe he gets offed right when we return in February, but I think they'll explore that Darryl-Merle relationship.

It would be totally cool and surprising to me if they turned Merle into a "good" guy by having him join Rick's gang to help take out the Governor. Clearly Merle has started realizing bit by bit, over time, that the governor doesn't give a shit about him or his brother.

Also wanted to say that Andrea PISSES ME THE HELL OFF. What a clueless idiot she has become. I hate her character now. I was more or less indifferent to her before the Woodbury stuff.

Become? She has always pissed me off. She shot Darryl. I don't know how Michone put up with her for ~8 months without slicing her.

I don't think I have ever liked Andrea.

Um, no.
