Good point. It sucks we're going to have to wait 3 weeks to see what we got in return for him. Everything is speculation. What do you think we got?

How do you know they were warned? If true, funny how ****ed KC gets by the NFL when all other teams leak shit

Again, please provide an instance of a trade occurring during the NFL's Dead Period in which teams announced details of said trade.

Yeah I agree. It's one thing to claim his character issues made this a necessary evil. It's outright denial or stupidity to blame it on his play even with his atrocious tackling effort.

The teams are announcing shit, it’s the leaks. Like the Smith trade. Even the Alex Smith trade in 2013 that was done in February after the combine

Doomy and In men kind of inferred it will be a 3 and 5 this year and a conditional 1/2 next year. Probably along those lines.

I’d say this is more about the Rams not wanting it leaked than it is about the NFL warning the Chiefs.

The NFL needs to stop pretending there's a dead period when clearly there isn't one.

I honestly have no idea.

After reading the accounts of a bad situation provided by SAUTO and Doomy, coupled with the fact that 29 other teams had no interested in acquiring him via trade, I don't expect the compensation to be Franchise changing.

I could see a 3rd this year, a Conditional 4th next year and maybe a 5th thrown in along the way but hell, that might even be too much, given Peters upcoming contract negotiations.

Maybe the Rams traded for him because they think he's the missing piece to a Super Bowl appearance and if they can keep him in check, they may be right.

Not close to enough. If that's all he was worth ... you sit, you wait, and get more down the road.

Unless there are literally skeletons in his closet.

Yeah, and John Clayton leaked it on February 28th but even he got the details wrong.

If we can somehow get a 1st out of it, I think I can live with it, not like I have a choice anyways. I seriously, seriously contemplated for a few hours whether or not I was going to even watch football anymore because of it. I'm super busy with work, and building something special. I could honestly live without it. Then, I remembered Mahomey. And I realized I've waited so long for this QB that there was no way I could just stop now. The next few years win, lose, or draw is something I've dreamed about for over a decade.

Yep.

The new League Year should begin on the Monday following the Super Bowl.

Disagree with this. His complete lack of effort in the run game...or better said...his unwillingness to become an every down football player certainly went into this decision.
