He was smaller than Jody currently is when he was a young kid. |

2. He's not a better receiver than those guys. If he were, he'd still be playing WR. He's too big and slow to be an NFL WR, and right now he's too thin to be an every down TE. His blocking is likely very underwhelming. Thus, he's a tweener. Now, how do tweeners usually fair in the NFL? Go ahead and play those odds. Can he come in and make some occasional catches for us? Sure! Of course! But i think he needs another season or two at least to be a serviceable #2 TE. |

So you both agree then that Jody needs to get bigger. More time in the oven. Thus, putting into question his ability to secure a roster spot THIS season. You both agree that Waller wasn't shit until he bulked up and grew into a TE's body. Which is exactly what im saying about Fortson. The question is, how much time do the Chiefs give him to do that? |

Wow we really are starting 3 rookies on the OL aren’t we? Nate Taylor said on his recent pod that Andy has never in his career started more than one rookie on the OL, especially to start a season.
This is a big shift from him Andy. He doesn’t give a **** anymore. Damn has Patrick changed his mindset for the better <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Despite <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> continuing to note the right tackle battle is ongoing, Lucas Niang has been taking all the reps at right tackle. Mike Remmers’ reps have all come at second-team left tackle since his return a few days back. At this point, it feels like Niang’s job to lose.</p>— Pete Sweeney (@pgsween) <a href="https://twitter.com/pgsween/status/1427995923729186823?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 18, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

We can use our cash and picks elsewhere unless an absolutely steal falls to us. Great stuff. |

Are you saying that Fortson won't make the team or won't make it as a tight end? Because I think he's making the team. Whether he continues to develop as a tight end is another thing. |
Today's NFL is more about athleticism than size. Now that won't always be the case and he'll need to bulk more to avoid injuries, but he's probably making the roster as a TE.
