OSU was 100 times more physical than KU today.

Sad

KU also underrated OSU. To me, they were always the 2nd best team in the conference. Their difficult road schedule to start the B12 gave the perception that they weren't, but they're excellent defensively and Smart is one of the best players in the nation. It's going to be really tough to beat them in Stillwater.

He would rather never play with guards. imo.

KU hasn't dealt well with the physicality all year. And OSU was by far the most physical yet. Need to toughen up for sure.

Been saying it all along. If KU kept being lazy and complacent, they were going to eventually lose a game to an inferior opponent. Unfortunate that it had to happen at home, but they were fortunate enough that it didn't happen against Temple and ISU last month and against just plain bad teams in Texas and West Virginia on the road. Marcus Smart and OSU were ready to play today and KU wasn't. It's as simple as that. Hope this gives them the jolt they need to actually give a damn going forward in conference season.

I don't really think they're being lazy, I just think they're making a lot of dumb plays. Turnovers are becoming a big problem. We've played 8 conference games and have turned the ball over more than our opponent in 6 of the 8. That's pretty bad. It's seemingly every game that we're losing the turnover battle.

They might be babies but Self is still the one who called the play to EJ even though it almost never works. How many times has he called for EJ to create off the dribble this year and had it turn to shit?

but yet he still tried it

How about we run a pick play ... a screen ... run Bmac off of double, triple screens to get open?

but no ... we run the same stupid ass play in the final 10 seconds of every half of every game.

I would love to see Tharpe start at TCU and have EJ be the first man off the bench. I think it might help Tharpe, EJ, and the team. But I'll let Bill Self make those decisions and trust him with it. He's done pretty well for himself.

Falling behind by 14 points at home in the first 10 minutes of a game is the definition of lazy. It shouldn't happen with a team this good against any opponent. The effort just wasn't there for KU to start the game and that ultimately cost them.

The dumb plays come down to a lack of focus, which could also be chalked up to that same laziness that has plagued this team.

Seriously? What are you a ****ing Kentucky fan? We ran the exact same play that we always run and this is the first time I have not seen it work.

Don't be a ****ing bitch.

The guy likes to complain about the best coach in college basketball over the last decade. Let him live in his delusions.

The problem isn't the plays, it's the execution of them.

We did that same basically play at the end of the half of the todays OSU game and it didn't work.

We tried it at the half last game too and it didn't work

So blow me, dickhead.

ROFL

Are you speaking overall, about the team that just won 18 straight?

Or specifically about that play, that won us a national title and several other games?

You are the epitome of the part of the KU fanbase that no one can stand.

Mr. Laz 02-02-2013 06:07 PM

Running the same play in the same situation every time IS a problem.

No element of surprise reduces the chance of success for any play.

and here we go ...

I just want the team to keep trying to improve and find ways to eliminate mistake and weaknesses.

I say that YOU ARE THE EPITOME of the KU fanbase that no one can stand. You are a entitled, pompous jackass who thinks that every thing about KU basketball is above reproach because of past success.
