Pro tip: watch these videos on an iPad or smartphone if you have one. Those devices do not play those annoying ads before almost every clip like the desktop does.

I watch them on mac Chrome and I don't get any ads.

Zimmer has better stuff (plus fastball, plus-plus curve, average change, average to above average slider), but Almonte has an above average fastball and a plus-plus changeup.

Little more upside for Zimmer.

How much of your man-cruch on Zimmer should we account for in this post?

Will be interesting to see the careers of Odirizzi, Montogomery, Manea, Finnegan, Reed, Lamb and all the other pitching prospects we moved to bring in talent that led to our two World Series appearances and eventual Word Championship. It will be nice because I don't care if they all go on to be word beaters - we got ours!!

GMDM you are the MAN!!!

And I'd totally sacrifice whatever pitching prospects we have left for another ring.

Hope that if things look the way they did last year before the deadline, Moore makes another couple moves to give us the necessary firepower

That's not really me- pretty much industry consensus on his stuff and ceiling being higher than Almonte's. It's the secondary offerings... Zimmer has two additional average or better pitches to pair with his plus fastball and plus-plus off speed pitch. Almonte does not.

Odorizzi, Manaea, and Reed all have the potential to hurt down the road. Montgomery, Finnegan, and lamb, not so much.

I know I soured on finnegan in a hurry post-2014, but he got fat, and his stuff backed up. Not good signs at 22.

It was a big blow to lose Manaea last year. But...

WORLD SERIES BABY!!1!1!

Could care less who they traded last season ...they needed Zobrist and Cueto. It worked out.

Still gives me chills

It's funny, I rewatched that entire game on blu-ray last Friday night, til 1 a.m.

siberian khatru 03-04-2016 04:49 PM

That's why, if Manaea or Reed or whoever wins a Cy Young down the road, the minute I feel a twinge of regret about that I'm gonna pop one of those blu-rays in and feel good about it all over again.

Watched the video a few more times and it was enough for me to start replaying the game.... what a night, basically the exact opposite of what usually happens when I spend a decent amount of money on sports.

Royals on MLBN now vs Padres.
