I thought they should have either punted or gone for it...I didn't even think a FG was an option...

I was downright shocked when Stover came on to the field...

I am still a firm believer when I say...

Tony Dungy is the worst thing that ever happened to Peyton Manning.

...and the blame it on the *kicker/coaches decision to use said kicker* card gets played

watching people come up with excuses for mannings choke jobs is amusing. predictable, but amusing

either way...

I'm entitled to my opinion. I thought the postseason Cardinals were the best team in the NFL last year.

You certainly are but come on dude Pittsburgh creamed the AFC competition while Arizona almost blew it aginst Philly. I was suprised how good they played aginst Pittsburgh.

Watching people blame Manning for everything is about as amusing.

I get it, the majority of this forum hates the guy.

if he had thrown that pick, plus another pick, and taken three or four sacks, and made 5 or 6 terrible throws...

then yeah...

I'd be all over the fact he choked.

But since he made one bad throw all game long...

Mecca 02-08-2010 02:28 AM

So tonight I was informed that Phillip Rivers and Peyton Manning are chokers but I always see posts about how Cassel will get better.

This is bizarro world planet.

Titty Meat 02-08-2010 02:28 AM

He made 1 bad throw and i'm not so sure Wayne just pretty much stood there.

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:28 AM

i dont hate manning. i think hes a fine qb. a fine qb that happens to shit himself at inconvenient times

Yes, because that is exactly what people are saying.

There's something about this market and QB's that brings out hate.

Titty Meat 02-08-2010 02:29 AM

Did you guys all drink from the same bucket of stupid tonight?

Hootie 02-08-2010 02:32 AM

you know what I consider a choke?

The NBA Finals a few years back when the Heat won...

91% FT shooter Dirk Nowitzki is on the line...he hit his 1st...no time left...the 2nd equals OT...they are up 2-0 in the series I believe...

He misses.

The Heat end up winning in 6.

That's a choke.

I think for an NFL QB to choke...they literally have to be rattled beyond comprehension...or scared...or inexperienced in the moment...

Do I think Manning wishes he had that pass back? Sure.

Do I think he choked there? Nope.

Do I think he expected Wayne to be open? Yep.

Was Wayne open? Nope.

Was Collie more open? Absolutely.

But hey...not even Peyton Manning makes every correct read...although he was pretty much flawless up until that point which is just ridiculous (especially considering the fact that they were losing...)
