What does John Dorsey think about this QB class? |
We really don't know, because just about everything that comes out of a GM's mouth this time of year is probably a lie.

Furthermore, I wasn't pushing Sanchez for 6 months before the draft. This shit with Smith is about 1,000 times as annoying as the ****ing Ricky Stanzi shit, which quite frankly, I never thought possible. |

We were trying to have a discussion about an important part of drafting a quarterback that tmk hasn't been discussed yet and you came in the house all coked up and swinging your fists with your eyes closed. |

You don't like his direct answer, so you refuse to believe it. That's called DENIAL. |
Quote:
Again, you didn't like the answer, so now I'm the "blind, bad guy". And Ricky Stanzi should have been a second rounder. LMAO |

I guess that's my question here. You seem unwilling to do any homework yourself, and that's fine. You also seem hell-bent on blasting anyone that has. Okay, that's less fine but whatever. You also seem content with calling just about anyone that's proffered an opinion nationally something of an idiot. WTF are you even hanging around for then? Your entire purpose at this stage appears to be to just tell people to shut up and wait for what happens. Well ****, Dane - it's a discussion board. What the hell's the point in having a discussion board if all we're going to do is sit and wait for the results to trickle in? We're not curing cancer here, we're talking football. Contribute or leave. Sitting back and blasting folks that are actually throwing ideas out there, good and bad, is just tiresome. I' |
Go back and read Dorsey's comments again. He doesn't say that he orvReidcthink that Geno or other qbs aren't worthy of the top pick...he dances around while saying very little of real substance....he basically says "some guys don't think there is even a first round quarterback in this class. Mine and Andy's job is to see if that's true and we are gonna do everything we can to do exactly that."
Shit, he clearly said that he and Andy will make their own lists about the position and that they would attend every workout and interview they can. It's not like Dorsey was scouting Geno for the Packers during the last year, he even said the most important part of the process had yet to come. |

Yet, when the national media agrees with the opinion of Chiefsplanet, suddenly, those pundits are okay. It's laughable. And no, I'm not going to sit around and waste my time watching shitty YouTube clips of a QB that may or may not be selected by the Chiefs in late April. Quote:
Maybe I should just stay up all night and watch YouTube clips, just so I can join your club. That sounds like fun. Quote:
Yeah, no. Quote:
THAT'S tiresome. |

Irrelevant Ignorant. If you want to be taken seriously in a conversation about Geno, take some time and watch some of the "every throw in each game" on YouTube because the two games you saw showed NONE OF HIS UPSIDE, whatsoever. There are whole games on YouTube, Dane...not just "highlight clips" |

He tod us what he's heard. He and his staff are just starting the evaluation process on thes prospectsn having just finished evaluating the Chiefs roster. |

http://www.kansascity.com/2013/02/16...chiefs-if.html “There is no quarterback where personnel guys can definitely say, ‘He’s a first-round pick,’ ” Dorsey said. “There were so many inconsistencies in the collective group. There was not one guy that stood up and said, ‘I’m the guy in the position this year.’ There really wasn’t one clear-cut guy. “There are too many technical flaws, scheme flaws. There are so many different variables that there are a lot of people all over the place on naming the top four or five guys and who those guys would be.” Quote:

If you don't think that the Chiefs have watched game film of every QB available in the NFL draft, you're mistaken. |

People read things like "there are personnel people that say there isn't a first round quarterback in this class" and immediately take that as "I, John Dorsey don't think there is a QB worth a first round pick for us" It's not at all what he said. Shit, he even said that he and Reid would be doing their own homework and setting their own QB board by doing as much homework as possible. He also said that what happens between now and the draft is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. |
"can definitely say" is not the same as "there is not one"
It's a gray area, and gray area statements are the norm this time of year. Chill the **** out, hoss. |
