All the moves we've made so far are win now moves. Drafting a QB at 1 to sit behind Smith isn't a win now move, it's a future move.
I'm fine with it sure, but I'm not sure thats the way they want to go. But that brings us back to the point that there isn't a single guy in this draft who is a day 1 difference maker. You could argue Milliner I guess, but IMO, he's a high upside great #2 CB. I don't know if he is a shut down 1 type guy. |

A- FA. Matt Moore? Drew Stanton? B- Draft round 4-7. Only to serve as a backup and to see if he has somethinfg to develop. If Wilson or Manuel fall to 3rd, maybe the 3rd round, but otherwise 4-7. C- A trade down with the Eagles if they reveal thay really like Geno Smith to take him high. IMO if this happens it will include Nick Foles whom Andy will set out to patiently develop. (Not much chance of this now after the Alex Smith trade.) D- If Andy sees potential in Stanzi. |

We don't need a number one cb flowers is that. If we go Millner rout we will have a very talented defensive backfield . Add a fs with potential tj McDonald this will rival the best in the nfl. That in turn will lead to more people covered and more sacks.
Truthfully I have no idea what the chiefs are gonna do now |
In one game Milliner went from a mid first round pick to top five talent. Teo went from a high pick to mid to late first round. The reality is Milliner looked better than he is because ND sucked and Teo looked worst than he is because Bama was just too good at every other position.

Smith was the free agent acquisition. They won't bring in another. He's on a 2 year deal, they'll be looking for a young guy to groom if/when he fails. I'd throw Foles completely out at this point. The Eagles wanted a 2 for him and we sent a 2 plus another pick to the 9ers for a different QB. The Foles to KC talk is done and was overblown. In any event, the Eagles don't hold any leverage for him. You really want a 4-7 round QB to be the backup QB? Jesus dude. |
I'm down for drew Stanton.

Serious question.
If you have to draft a QB somewhere anyway, and there's no cant miss guys at one, why not draft the best QB available? Are we really wanting a #2 CB with the #1 overall pick? LMAO |
IF we are stuck at 1, which I don't think we will be, I'd take Milliner. Which sucks, because had we just spent money last year and locked up our home grown guy, this wouldn't be a problem.
IF we can trade down to say 7 with the Cardinals or 5 with teh Lions and get back picks, I think there would be a better chance they end up taking a Qb than them sitting at 1. |

I would rather draft Glennon at 1 than draft a CB.

Milliner? Sure but is he a shut down guy and is he that much better than a guy you can get in the 2nd? Geno? Sure tons of potential and talent, but how much better is he than a guy you can get in the 2nd? Floyd? Lotta upside, but lacks pass rush skills and is a 34 DE, is he a better fit there than a guy like Margus Hunt? Who knows. It's pretty maddening. One thing that seems to be an option in my opinion would be .... Since they seem to be opting for the win now approach, I figure they're going to target the CB and DL spot in free agency. If they do that, and get good players there, I'd be looking to take the guy at 1 who has the absolute most upside of anyone in the draft. Could be Geno, Could be Warmack, could be whoever. There is a risk he's probably not going to impact your team the first year, but if things go according to plan, he wouldn't half too. It's a shit thing for the 1st pick because you want a difference making cornerstone there. But for all thats there right now, I don't see that guy at 1. |
