Broke the rookie record, passed for 4,000 yards his first season, nearly 4,000 his second and has 62TD combined TD's rushing and passing. Major disappointment. |

I felt that Geno would have been a great pick for us at 1.1 for what he wouldn't do this season - he could sit behind Alex and Chase to learn an NFL offense with no ridiculous pressure on him. He has the skills, now he just needs someone to help hone them, not to mention ready him for the spotlight of the NFL.
That being said, he is going to be an unmitigated disaster for the Jets. He is going to be thrust into the starter's role sooner rather than later, and he just isn't ready at this point for it, much less the pressure of playing in New York. He's going to be a classic "What If?" question a few years from now. |

He has a long way to go before he's even NFL ready and if that day comes, there are no guarantees that he'll be capable of leading a team. |

The thought of actually having a QB that looked as though he can throw a decent pass was just way too intriguing to not think about for me, especially given what Reid and Smith could have potentially taught the kid, and also not mentioning all the dogshit we've trotted out at QB since Trent Green left. Oh well, you're right - you shouldn't have to teach a 1.1 pick how to play his position. Here's hoping Fisher has ten dominating years at tackle for us. :toast: |
