Even funnier than Denver fans thinking Miller is better than Houston right now is fans on the Chargers forum saying they are certainly better than us.

A guy seriously said in a matchup between their offense and our defense, they have the edge. I guess he missed both games last year when the man of the hour ate Phillip's ballbag 4 times in one match?... It's truly laughable.

Pissed...maybe...but Denver has cheated the cap before, I'm sure they'll find another way of cheating the cap for Miller. The redheaded spokes ape wont do anything but fine them a couple million.

Can't say we didn't try

@RapSheet: Justin Houston is a case study on betting on himself. Turned down a solid deal in October. Nearly set the sack record, made himself millions

It just doesn't make sense to me.

The Chiefs don't need 8 mil to sign Evan Mathis if that's what they want to pursue, or to trade for Kendricks, or hell to even do both.

They don't have to sit on cap space, if they have space once the roster is finalized they can apportion it to his contract as an accelerated payment.

As it stands now, it just gives them options for signing additional talent if someone catches their eye and can be acquired.

Honestly....who knows. We won't know shit until the full details are released. My guess would be that they're at least going after one more player. Like you said....no point in carrying that cap space if you're just going to sit on it.

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/6...nt-evan-mathis

There was a report that the Kansas City Chiefs could have interest in free agent G Evan Mathis, who was cut earlier this week by the Philadelphia Eagles.

That's not the case, Andy Reid says.

The Chiefs coach told the media on Thursday that the Chiefs are not looking at Mathis. He couldn't have been more clear.

Mathis has ties to Andy Reid so it's no surprise folks were talking about him as an option for the Chiefs. But he won't be coming to Kansas City, according to Reid.

I've felt the same way. I couldn't have been more disinterested than talk about what ifs & signing Houston.

There was zero chance he was going anywhere else unless he all of a sudden had legal trouble or a health problem.

This is great but expected news. I'm now interested in the details and how it shapes up for being able to sign other guys.
