Because he traded for Smith :D

I don't think Gropeolo is Cassel pt 2, but I wouldn't give what NE is asking.

Let's look at his scouting report coming out of college

Weaknesses:
Level of competition - I believe he's undefeated as a starter
Not a dual threat - Seemed mobile against the Chiefs
Learning curve with NFL defenses - Played well filling in for Brady
Speed of reading coverage- Hasn't thrown a pick yet
Will he get flustered by NFL pass-rushers? - haven't seen it yet
Small hands fumbles ????

Small sample size but I understand why a team would trade for him given this class of QB's

No he thought Geno Smith was a franchise QB. You can't say Dorsey is a great GM then bash him because he goes and gets a QB via trade,

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, Barkley Boy.

Why not? If he ends up being THE guy, what's the difference?

This.

What moron pays a 1st for a 2nd round pick? And to Belicheat no less?

It's absurd.

He's NOT "the guy". You'll just have to trust me on this. There's nothing exceptional or promising about Giraffolo.

All the talk about preparing for 'life after Brady', when Brady wants to play into his mid-40s.

"Wants to" and "is physically able to" are two different things. A lot of QBs have played longer than they should have because they wanted to keep playing even though they shouldn't have.

She is more masculine.

It is easy to find people here who have made bad choices about QBs, because some of you want to draft the next Aaron Rodgers so bad you will delude yourself into thinking any trash is the next QBotF.

Because you'd want a more proven commodity for what they're asking, which seems to be a top 15 draft choice and a Day 2 pick.

The cost is too much, even if he pans out.

Or it's because good QBs are rare, and a large portion of them flame out compared to other positions.

Do you like a pro QB prospect? Odds are he's going to underwhelm. Hell, even Andrew Luck isn't exactly safe from having a career where he comes up short of the expectations people had for him.

But guess what? Every team needs a QB, and you have to take chances.

Amen.

So what makes Garopollo not a good QB?

Coogs 02-25-2017 10:08 PM

This is a pretty good take on Garoppolo.
