Passes 5 yards and under are not "throwing the ball all over the yard".

Even still we were #7 in ppg not even in the top 5. Hardly elite.

Still very impressive considering J Houston was out pretty much all year but he did not have the impact with our run D that I was expecting.

Anyway, the best defenses are #1 at both. The 2013-2014 Seahawk defenses were the No 1 in yds and ppg. The Broncos in 2015 were #1 yds and #4 in ppg.

That's what I would like to see our D become. Hopefully this year if we stay healthy.

You can not characterize that game for Alex as having thrown the ball all over the yard.

He was sharp.
He did a good job of placing the ball, giving his receivers an opportunity to make plays when they caught them.

Derek Carr has SIXTY touchdown passes over the last 2 seasons. Had close to a 97 passer rating last season. And god forbid a 3rd year player threw for slightly less yards per attempt than an 11 year vet.

Its funny how Alex fans never use even playing fields when comparing Alex to other QBs. Should we compare Alex's third year to Carr's? I wonder who was better.
