While this would be cool, I'm still skeptical. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.
Also, it is L'Jarius SNEED, not Snead. |

Texans ESPN reporter says deal is dead, they are not shopping Tunsil anymore.
|
I'd guess one of them was option 1a and one was 1b and they moved how they did.
It just doesn't make sense to do a trade now, considering they need to fill some other holes IMO. |

Texans beat reporter. |
I don’t think it will happen, but it’s not really dead until he signs an extension or gets traded somewhere else.
Could just be a negotiation tactic. I still have very little faith this will happen, but “not actively shopping” doesn’t equal “dead”. |

Edit: Sorry for some reason I can't figure out how to post a tweet....Anyways it looks like this DJ person could just be responding to a tweet by Matt Verderame that the Chiefs plan to play Taylor at LT. SOOO could still be on the table for a Tunsil trade! |
We absolutely could still be in the market for Tunsil or any LT really because the Taylor contract is a Veach special. I fully expect him to restructure the agreement each year to bring the cap number down (it’s only $6mm this year and with future restructures would be $12mm in 2024 and $21mm in 2025 — essentially eating up the $40mm guarantee). You then face $21mm in dead money or extend him and do it all over again. Bottom line is there is plenty of potential cap space to bring on Tunsil and pay out a $20mm avg salary because the Taylor contract won’t be anywhere near a $20mm avg (more like $13mm/year).

No clue what this means, he just posted it and doesn't post a whole lot. His last post was retweeting Mahomes 2 days ago. |
