“Maybe if I give my bully even more money this week, he’ll stop kicking my ass! I can only control why I can control!”

RealSNR 09-26-2023 06:01 PM

Is there some way Reid can break one off in the Bengals’ ass by making Taylor an eligible receiver and then lining him up just a bit too far into the backfield?

Preferably as Collinsworth is calling the game, obviously.

CaptainMorgan 09-26-2023 06:12 PM

There’s not enough animosity towards Collinsworth over all this garbage in my opinion. That creepy shithead went so far out of his way to cause this problem it’s kinda unbelievable.

And I've already acknowledged your point, which again seems to be 'if rape is inevitable, just lay back and enjoy it...'

No, that's not an okay answer here. Make them keep doing it and make it more and more egregious. Get louder and louder about it until the league has to either acknowledge that they intend to keep rat ****ing one single player or they knock it the hell off.

Just shrugging it off and hoping they don't see some nonsensical illegal formation in January because they weren't quite sure and couldn't prove he was lined up LEGALLY is no sort of response.

Phantom holding calls are going to happen. The pre-snap penalties are what I’ve been talking about since my very first post on this subject.

You mentioned that Taylor made adjustments, meaning he stopped with the pre-snap movements and early jumps. There were no false start penalties on Taylor in week 3 (SHOCKING).

Can’t we just Occam’s razor this bitch and call it a day? Since he was called for an illegal formation in week 3, the most likely scenario is simply that he was still lining up too far back.

Speaking of, I’m still not sure why you keep harping on the lineman. You just wrote me a ****ing dissertation dissecting the exact location of Taylor’s helmet in relation to Humphrey’s jock strap from a grainy still photo from a box suite on the far side of the field but you’re telling me the dude who’s standing at the 50 yard line just 20 yards from Jawaan has no clue what he’s looking at?

LMAO Of course, there would be at least one arguing in favor of just accepting this BS.

Never change, CP.

The result? The Patriots were targeted for it all season and in the playoffs Peyton scored 38 points on their defense in large part bc of that rule change. The cherry on top was the Patriots having twice as many penalties as the Colts called on them that game.

Goodell was not Commissioner until 2006.

Since this thread started out about all the offensive tackles, Prince Tega Wanogho went on the IR due to a torn quad. Hopefully Niang can be a competent fill in if needed. If not, Wanya Morris may be playing some clean up snaps.

That's a hard way to go. Especially since he was only on a one year deal.

I hate seeing injuries in garbage time of blowout games. The Bears did some damage in this game regardless of the scoreboard. Pretty frustrating.

They need to see what they have with Morris at some point this year.

No they don't.

If he's bad, then don't play him. They got a long look at him already this offseason. And they'll get another long look at him next offseason.

Right.

Coaches see these guys in practice every single day. And if you think GM's can learn/project on college tape, you have to also realize that coaches, who get FAR better looks against much more analogous competition and in a controlled environment (where they can target specific areas of concern) know full well what they can project/predict from a player.

Is it 100% accurate? No - 17 weeks of practice plus camp, etc... is going to tell those coaches more about Wanya Morris than 2-3 games will, especially in mopup or relief work.

Niang is still probably the better option for mop up duty. He can play at an acceptable level for a backup and has plenty of in game experience. I think Morris has a shot to get some significant snaps next season.
