That looked just a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit outside.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-17-2012 04:41 PM

3-1. Kozma and Robinson come through. People have to HATE playing the Cards and watch guys like this beat them ROFL

chefsos 10-17-2012 04:41 PM

It's raining and the tarp is on.

jd1020 10-17-2012 04:41 PM

Rain delay.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-17-2012 04:43 PM

3 runs off Matt Cain all driven in by Carpenter and Robinson who've played right for Beltran tonight.

Marcellus 10-17-2012 05:33 PM

Any word on the restart time yet?

O.city 10-17-2012 05:43 PM

Well....... Anyone know anything

Frazod 10-17-2012 05:45 PM

Looks like the Yankmees game is starting on TBS at 7:00. What channel is our game on?

O.city 10-17-2012 05:47 PM

Fox

Carpenter with the 2 run homer to to replace Beltran also.

I think its the "Cardinals Way" thats taught from fall league all the way to the big show. It's a reflection of the organization.

It looked outside live but on replay it caught a big portion of the plate. Yadi set up inside and Boggs missed his spot by a good foot, making it look outside.

Thank god for the little guys at this point, because so far this series:

Jay - Meh
Beltran - good but now hurt
Holliday - A Rod
Craig - Completely lost
Yadi - sucked ass during NLDS but starting to come around a bit
Freese - only "big" bat doing anything besides a hurt Beltran

I think you may be talking about a different pitch.

The pitch I was talking about was when the Cards were at bat.

The pitch he took for strike 2 was at least 6 inches outside. He got the RBI anyway because the 2B went full reerun.

You are correct sir. I was late to the party and thought it was the Boggs pitch to end the inning. The ump's zone has been very inconsistent. He varied from a very pinched zone to a very wide zone. Not as bad as Joyce last series but not good either.

Frazod 10-17-2012 06:55 PM

Great. The rain that's delayed the game in St. Louis is here now. Starting to lose the satellite signal. :grr:

He would have had Freese by a good two steps or more but then he waited around so long that he almost didn't get Shane at first. I am thankful, gave the Cards an insurance run.

Actually, it's the cable channels that are out - I was watching TBS to avoid whatever this putrid shit is on Fox. I'm getting the local channels.

Miles 10-17-2012 07:05 PM

Anyone know what channel the game will be on once it resumes?

Frazod 10-17-2012 07:06 PM

Fox.

Miles 10-17-2012 07:07 PM

Thanks.

Frazod 10-17-2012 07:16 PM

I hate Fox. Their shows suck, their promos suck, even their commercials suck.

O.city 10-17-2012 07:18 PM

I'm thinking they are just delaying until this stupid shit show is over.

Pretty sure Fox held off on resuming so they could finish Xfactor.

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:04 PM

****ing Salas warming up to pitch the 8th.

If Jay gets a hit and its a 4 run lead, fine. A 2 run lead we are hosed.

2 inning save from Motte? Sure would have been nice to have Rosenthal for more than one out.

Yeah, he's been King Nothing lately. Great in the field, though.

It's ****ing pouring here and my DTV is out. Updates will be appreciated.

Jewish Rabbi 10-17-2012 08:15 PM

2 outs now in 8th. I would have liked to see Kelly pitch this inning.

Jewish Rabbi 10-17-2012 08:16 PM

Popout. Inning over.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:16 PM

Alright, lets pile on this mofo.

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:16 PM

Outstanding.

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:16 PM

Motte gets it done for one inning and its an easy inning.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:17 PM

So now we have Chambers, Holliday, Carpenter in the 9th?

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:18 PM

Signal back now.

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:19 PM

Yeah Jay, Craig, Holliday and Molina are all under performing in the playoffs. Lucky for us Kozma and Delcasco are playing out of their minds.

Carp, Holliday and Chambers

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:20 PM

Nasty.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:22 PM

We've won without Holliday, Craig, Molina really doing shit.

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:24 PM

Hopefully good news on Beltran.

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:27 PM

Now would be a good time for Yadi to launch one.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:31 PM

If we are gonna pull this thing off, one of those asshats is gonna have to start hitting hte ball.

I'd switch Freese and Molina at this point in the lineup.

Don't forget Jay, he's been mostly worthless as well.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:33 PM

In DJ's words earlier this year, Jay seems to be turning back into a pumpkin.

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:34 PM

top of the lineup to beat

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:35 PM

2 more outs. We can count outs on the intrawebs without jinxing can't we?

Saul Good 10-17-2012 08:36 PM

Wow

BigRedChief 10-17-2012 08:37 PM

Motte is dealing

O.city 10-17-2012 08:38 PM

Would you dare throw an off speed pitch here?

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:39 PM

WOOHOO

Marcellus 10-17-2012 08:39 PM

Motte must have been drinking Redbull!
Winner winner boys!

Jewish Rabbi 10-17-2012 08:39 PM

Motte gets it done. And only 19 pitches in two innings, he'll be available the next two days if needed.

Marco Polo 10-17-2012 08:40 PM

Great win! Beltran is day to day.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:41 PM

Mini Carpenter player of the game.

Frazod 10-17-2012 08:42 PM

Sure would be nice if they could close it out at home. Do not want to go back to SF.

Marco Polo 10-17-2012 08:44 PM

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Carlos Beltran's left knee strain is not considered serious and he could be back in the lineup Thursday.

Beltran was injured while trying to beat out a double-play ball in the first inning of Wednesday's contest. The veteran outfielder has obviously had plenty of knee issues in the past, but evidently this is a minor one. Matt Carpenter hit a two-run homer after taking over for Beltran Wednesday and would start Thursday if it turns out that Beltran can't go.

We beat their best pitcher. The next two games San Fran is starting pitchers that have no business starting a playoff game. Maybe they will pitch lights out instead of how they pitched in the season, but I like our chances of winning it in St. Louis.

yeah totally agree. However, if that is what happens I will take some consolation that they will have to use linecum and he will be unavailable then.

Agree, although a ton of credit to Lohse. He flat out battled out of a lot of tough situations, although his walks helped him get in those situations. Thankfully, he is not Garcia when the going gets tough.

I told a couple people today that if we beat Cain we have a huge chance, he is their guy. Beat him here and we can do anything and should win the series.

It shall be interesting to see what the Cards do for game 5 for starting pitcher. Lynn really hit the wall in his last start, so I would not be surprised if Joe Kelly started, or at minimum Lynn started with a VERY short leash.

O.city 10-17-2012 08:50 PM

Lincecum is pretty good. Don't overlook that guy.

Hopefully Waino is better tomorrow.

I'm more concerned about our pitchers than theirs. Lohse is the only starter I trust right now, and he dodged a ton of bullets tonight.

I had Timmy in my FBB league this year and he was ****ing atrocious. Don't know what his deal was this year but I would put $ on Waino being better.

I think he was absolutely horrid on the road too.
