How'd you like this match up, JGuts VS MadBum Game 7 2014 World Series

LMAO

This is why the panic that resulted from last night's meltdown was not unfounded.

IF w win Tuesday night - Wednesday will simply be insane. Just insane.

4 days. But I wouldn't want to be bochy trying to keep him out of a game 7.

Wednesday's game would be on two day's rest for him. I cannot imagine that he'll be available, even though he just said he would be.

No it's really not. Yost hasn't been sharp the last two games, but the real story is they have pounded our bullpen, and we've made a few defensive lapses.

What we have to hope is that the Royals that played the ALCS, ALDS show up again.

I know managers don't matter much in the outcome of games, but it still doesn't excuse the fact that Yost is a bad in-game manager. Good at coaching up players, good at rallying his team, but really really bad at in-game decisions.

1st day, complete rest and treatment
2nd day, very light throwing & treatment
3 day, a little harder, treatment
4th day very light throwing & treatment

On 3 days rest, you get only 2 days recovery, body strength is your biggest culprit, then location due to weakness.

He's another of the guys who is trying to pull the ball when they should try to hit to the opposite field on those pitches on the outside corner.

By the time he pitches, it would be 3 full days in hours, but not enough time to recover his strength to maintain his control.

Yep.

I've been complaining about him since mid-Sept. I just don't get it.

His hits have been pretty productive (8 post-season hits with 5 2B & 1 HR, 10 RBI), but there just haven't been enough of them. Plus, 15 post-season Ks.

Bumgarner is a top tier MLB ace.

I didn't expect to win tonight, was hoping to steal one like the Giants did from us yesterday.

Oh well.

We'll be favorites in game 6 AND game 7 (which doesn't mean a whole lot) but ...

I still like our chances. Yordano is a big game pitcher. Gotta get those bats woken up early, though.

Today is Sunday.

Monday is day one of rest.

Tuesday (game 6) is day two of rest.

Then he would be pitching on Wednesday. That means that Wednesday isn't a day of rest.

So, he would be pitching on 2 days rest, after pitching a complete game tonight.

It's been a great season....but you can't help but be a little pissed when you watched last night and tonight.

Too many people to point a finger and say...what happened? Escobar missing 2 plays he should have made that led to scores.....Yost making some questionable choices.....the offense convincing themselves they couldn't hit MB......Hosmer not tagging up on Perez's flyball....

Could this postseason performance push Bumgarner over Kershaw for the NL Cy Young? It would be pretty unheard of, but he has carried his team.
