NFL podcast discusses the Chiefs : (thinks Mahomes could sit behind Smith 2+ years but have been impressed with what he's shown so far, thinks Kareem Hunt could steal the job this season and be a 3 down back, Tyreek the speedster, and some talk on the defense)

Starts at 20:40 (Aug 4, 2017)

Why the **** would he sit behind Smith for 2+ years?

He needs a buffer year. Maybe more beyond that. But a full two seasons? Makes zero sense at all.

penbrook 08-04-2017 08:29 PM

Yes Smitty will be here!! You just can't get rid of him!! He will be a Chief for life

So much for the new mods cleaning things up. Who was the guy looking to reopen a board?

Discuss Thrower 08-04-2017 09:11 PM

Megathreads in general suck.

IMO, a new thread for each day of TC makes sense, and a game thread for each half -if not quarter- for the regular season.

Congrats to you- still able to type while Alex's cock is in your mouth 24 hours a day. True talent.

Nice job almost single-handedly polluting every thread on CP with your troll tactics. You have plenty of Alex threads for your gay fantasies and yet you still ruin the PH draft thread and the Camp thread. Worthless!

Not sure- but this is pretty much another Alex thread now. It would be nice to hear about the other guys on the team as well.

I was really enjoying all the updates from BossChief and others up at camp...then pages of Alex nonsense.

I respect Alex for getting us back to respectability but it's time to take the next step. I hated the Smith trade when it happened but he's been solid at times.

Meanwhile, we have one of the most exciting camps going on- guys like PH, Hunt and Kemp are doing great. This team is loaded with talent!

Rasputin 08-04-2017 09:44 PM

So made it home ok what a long day ended up going to KC and eat at Hooters that's where my son wanted to go so I was obliged. I did want to stay for another day or two but if rain was going be in the forecast I didn't want drive around navigating like that.

Overall camp was as bit if not more fun than I though it would be. There were some great moments but mostly time well spent with my son for that I am thankful for the Chiefs letting us witness their practice it really did mean a lot to me and to see our future quarterback was just awesomeness.

Then at the end of practice 3 DB came over and asked for my autograph that was pretty cool. Didn't recognize two of them but Eric Murray was a real cool dude I hope he has a great season filling in for Eric Berry once in a while. Watched Marcus Peters do some ball drills wish he came over but it's all good. Holy shit had fun can't wait do it again. I'll have better idea what to expect and plan for next year and hope spend more days.

Man Patrick sure has some zip on that ball!

I had a blast I'm even more stoked about Patrick Mahomes II and left confident that it won't take much for Andy to pull the trigger and make the switch if this offense stalls through mid season and it is obviously holding us back. You could see he is superior than Bray but Alex only knows the offense but Patrick is catching on quick if he had more reps in practice it would go a long ways for development.

Rasputin 08-04-2017 10:08 PM

There is no question Tyreek is going be our main weapon on offense.

Tyreek and Peters are perfect for each other making each other better. That alone was on another level of competition Tyreek may get the best of Peters but it's going pay off come game day and Peters is going be best corner in the league for it.

Rasputin 08-04-2017 10:46 PM

Other good news I thought Justin Houston looking good not showing any negativity about his knees makes me believe he is going beast this year.

Also one of the cool drills they do is tackling 🍩. DJ put the smack on that 🍩.

I really also enjoyed the linemen battle drills blocking and pass rush. They got after it pretty good with intensity. Fun stuff. Like watching Hard Knocks live.

Although I got to say this before I forget the smack of the day belonged to Anthony Sherman on a poor unsuspecting kicker. Toward the end of practice and guys were settling down he snuck up behind Santos and delivered an ass slap you could hear around campus ROFL *SMACK* it was freaking funny.

Well I know the RT had his hands full with a guy that very well could have been him and the RT practically tackled him & hold him down to stop him. I think in general the pocket with imaginary quarterback was collapsing.

Dee Ford and Eric Fisher battle was pretty good for both of them but I know Eric had his hands full too and iirr practically had to tackle Dee

Yep, he has looked great in all the videos that Boss Chief posted. I hope he gets a majority of the snaps in every preseason game- he needs the experience. Haven't heard much from our supposedly entrenched #2 Bray so far? :hmmm:

As I have stated before- I don't see Andy letting PH's career being stalled behind Bray. He needs to be the backup-period. It already looks like Alex has been stepping up his game- he is feeling that Texas heat coming off PH's throws!!

Coogs 08-05-2017 08:29 AM

Smith with the 98 yard TD throw.

Mahomes answers with a 95 yarder.

I'm telling ya, this is the real QB competition.

Hammock Parties 08-05-2017 08:32 AM

The throw mahomes hit to Spiller was really nice had some great touch on it

Halfcan 08-05-2017 08:32 AM

Mahomes finds CJ Spiller all alone for a 20-yard pass that resulted in a 95+yard TD. Spiller outraced the DBs for the score. Speed is there.

But I heard on CP he is a brokedick and won't even make the club? Oh and DJ wouldn't be practicing, and PH needs 2 years before he will look good.

What is going on up there- it is like they read all the garbage on CP and are proving the pundits wrong, every single day.

As I have stated before- I don't see Andy letting PH's career being stalled behind Bray. He needs to be the backup-period. It already looks like Alex has been stepping up his game- he is feeling that Texas heat coming off PH's throws!!

I'm not saying Bray looked completely ass he had some good throws but his errant throws are what going get guys hurt in a game and that's what I'm most afraid of. He shouldn't be anywhere near as buckup going into regular season.

He has 0 regular season snaps under his belt going into his fifth year so with the upside that Mahomes is displaying and his ability to improvise and get the ball out and actually make plays down field it should be a no brainer for Mahomes to be back up even to start the season unless you can find a vet that is better than Bray.

JMHO **** Tyler Bray

Love the depth at running back this year

What position doesn't have depth outside of receiver?? Gonna be a fun season

There has't been a lot said about him, but the few snipets on LDT seem to suggest that he is ready to step up and hit his potential.

that could be a boost to the ground game.

In the blocking drill yesterday I saw that the interior held better than than the outside edges I believe G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif was doing ok but I can't tell you how he did on running plays they ran on the far side of the field. I think Hunt was getting stuffed though but I really couldn't tell everything going on.
