I think if I had to place a bet, we end up trading a 2022 draft pick (maybe not a 1, but in the first few rounds) to add a starting caliber player after the draft. That is unless they do ultimately sign these guys like Okung, Ingram, etc. who could take the pressure off of the rookie class. |

Not sure if you are a Times Ours listener, but they were having a pretty interesting discussion about the roster now vs the roster on opening day last season, vs the average roster for last season. Had some interesting discussions about the holes on the roster/immediate needs. Having thought about it a lot the last couple of days, when you factor in the Taco Charlton injury and how little Sammy was available last year, DE/receiver as it stands now isn't any worse than last years actual roster. They need to get better in both of these areas, but at least they are already roughly back to what they had last year. O line is definitely worse than what they had last year, until at least one of the two giant question marks is penciled in with a viable starter. |
If they draft Walker Little I think they redshirt him. It would likely be Okung with a Niang/Remmers fallback plan when Okung gets hurt. Just don’t see Andy trusting Little as a rookie after he hasn’t played in 2 years.
Radunz has a smaller frame. He’s tall but doesn’t seem to fit that big mold Andy likes. I know it’s cliche bc it’s Andy, but I think Brady Christensen is the sleeper pick. Of course that could mean a trade down from 31 but still. That guy looks like a really good fit here |

Rashod Bateman still is a really fun pick to me at 31. Might be the best WR we can get for this team in 2021 realistically.

The whole time i was watching him i wondered, "how big is this guy". Once i looked up his size, i was even more impressed. I look forward to REALLY watching these guys over and over here soon and reading up on them. All ive seen thus far are highlight reels. My early impressions though, Ja'Marr might be the most sure thing (he looks like a pro already), but Bateman just ooozes talent. A natural. Reminds me a lot of OBJ. |

So the Colts have signed a couple replacement level LT's, which should atleast get them some flexibility in the draft to not have to force it.
It kinda makes me think the Chiefs have something bigger in mind than just sitting at 31. |

Just looking at the running backs still out there and when I looked up Todd Gurley I couldn't believe he's still only 26 years old!!. Anyway we've taken a veteran in the last two years (Shady and Bell) so if Gurley is down to play on a modest one year deal why not bring him to KC? He's brilliant in goal line situations, can pass protect and run routes/catch the ball. Last year he got 842 total yards and nine td's. Yes, he's not the monster he was two years ago (one of the best backs I've seen tbh) but he was pretty good for the Falcons last year so him sharing the rock with Ceh could be good for us I think.

If you'll remember, my argument was that the problem with our running game was the offensive line, and that it's not been the same since Morse got hurt. So no, I didn't want to take a RB early because I didn't think it was going to make a big difference with shit run blocking. We took one #32, and that's cool, but it didn't really do all that much for us did it? Now I expect we'll continue to work on the line, and I'm sure Clyde will have a great season next year. But I'll pass on the has-been pile. I'd rather take a flier on a later round guy, maybe small school, something like that. |
I love Trey Sermon. Think he's the 2nd best RB in this class. If he dropped into the 4th I'd pull the trigger.

The #Jaguars signed former #Chiefs LB Damien Wilson
|
Quote:
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed seventh-year LB Damien Wilson, the club announced today. Wilson, 6-0, 243, has spent the last two seasons (2019-20) with Kansas City after playing his first four seasons (2015-18) with Dallas, where he was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. His career totals include 93 games played (51 starts), 249 tackles, 4.0 sacks and three forced fumbles. In 2020, Wilson recorded 70 tackles in 13 games (all starts) with the Chiefs. Wilson started all 16 games for the first time in his career in 2019 and totaled a career-high 81 tackles (52 solo) and one forced fumble. He recorded 19 tackles in three postseason games in 2019, including four tackles in the Chiefs victory in Super Bowl LIV. Wilson attended the University of Minnesota from 2013-14 after beginning his college career at Alcorn State. In 26 games (24 starts) for the Gophers, he posted 197 tackles and 5.0 sacks, including a team-leading 119 tackles as a senior. In 2014, Wilson led Minnesota in tackles (119), tackles for loss (4.5) and sacks (4.0) en route to First Team All Big-Ten honors. Wilson is originally from Gloster, Miss. and attended Amite County High School in Liberty, Miss. |
