Won't happen with a team that blows a 12 point lead in the final minute and a half like that. Won't happen with a team with KAT.

Most likely, but you were suggesting that it shouldn't be televised. Why wouldn't they want to televise a game as great as that?

A game as great as that? Denver sleptwalk through the entire thing and nearly won anyway because they knew they could. The TWolves blew both a 12 point lead in a minute and a half in regulation and then nearly blew a 7 point lead at the end of overtime in about the same amount of time. They were only barely saved from elimination by a made Anthony Edwards contested three.

All of this is leading to a blowout in game 5.

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 08:53 AM

It's still more fire than I expected to see from the Wolves at any point.

They really do appear to have packed it in.

And your precious SGA wouldn't have even gotten to game 5 if he were in that position.

I didn’t say it was a great series. I said of the remaining WC teams, the wolves are the most competitive team who could win a game out of it.

You’re the one who won’t admit that you said something stupid, so you keep pivoting to crap like, “Yeah well I hate KAT!!!!!”

That’s not a reason to say the wolves aren’t the best of the dog crap at the bottom of the conference.

Don't let him hate on your team SNR. At least your team won their play in games the Raptors have 3 All Stars but lost to the freaking Bulls at home.

We've been over this. Anybody you could have thrown against the Nuggets was likely to lose easily, but I'd have far preferred seeing the development of an actual superstar (SGA) over whatever the TWolves are bringing to the table in this series.

Siakam is a fake all star, FVV played at an all-star level in 2021-2022 but that ceased being the case this year, and Barnes is not at that level yet (if he ever will be).

I count one fake all star in 2022-2023. The Raptors finished right where they deserved to.

I don't watch the NBA anymore but Jesus ****ing Christ, what the hell is with all the ****ing drama that is not part of the game???

Every sports show sounds like an episode of Dr Phil. I gotta listen to this shit every day for hours.

Will they play more than 10 minutes or won't they?
Which kick in the stomach, punch in the nuts, slap in the face, drag down was real or an accident?
Who can't play a lick of defense?
Why does "player A" keep getting final shots when they are 3-22 for the game.
Who is injured this week with a tummy ache or the sniffles?

These guys are the biggest bunch of lazy pussies I have ever seen. They make soccer players look like hockey players.

Do people still spend $500 a ticket to watch this shit?

They were solid players on a contender when they had top players like Kawhi, Lowry, and Marc Gasol. They've each been thrown into a role that they can't handle and the results are what they are.

The Raptors should be beginning a rebuild around Barnes.

You seeing a lot of load management in the playoffs?

It's fairly clear from your post that you understand very little about basketball in general, but that shouldn't necessarily mean that you're also too much of a coward to answer my questions.

No doubt regular season load management sucks. NBA regular season is a joke but there is no load management in the playoffs. All the stars are playing heavy minutes.

Next to the playoffs the NBA drama\pettiness is best thing going. NBA twitter is ****ing awesome.

Ja is fine, he just had the best game of any player in the playoffs so far after the injury. The other players missing are role players.

Fox is the best player by far on the Kings and a player the Warriors had no answer to. Without him, the Warriors will win the next two games easily in a series that was likely going 7. Luckiest franchise in sports.

Ja is fine, but he missed a game. Which may be more than Fox ends up missing. And while there is no doubting fox is the best player on the Kings, the warriors have shown capable of slowing him down... "Fox only made 5 of 15 shots in the second half." And they held him to 40% in game 3.

Adams played 27 mins a game during the season. A role player with a fairly involved role. One that probably would have been somewhat useful in trying to stymie Davis. Clarke played 20 mins a game and would have also been used to guard Davis.

But continue to show your hypocrisy. It's nothing new.

He missed Game 4 of the WCCG with a calf injury and didn’t finish Game 1. He wasn’t anywhere close to healthy and just toughed it out. Gasol sent him to the locker room in Game 2 as well.

If you want to extend injuries to guys actually playing their regular minutes, we're definitely putting an asterisk on that Warriors title last year then too. Tatum's shoulder was completely ****ed and he played through it all series, that Celtics team was not itself.

That makes an entire zero titles of any legitimacy for Steph.

Austin Reaves has no business getting the minutes he’s getting. But he is remarkably effective.

KC_Connection 04-24-2023 09:18 PM

Another massive collapse by LA to end a half. Unfortunate because they were in firm control of that game.

KC_Connection 04-24-2023 09:20 PM

Russell with another no show game as well.

That makes an entire zero titles of any legitimacy for Steph.

Not sure if trolling…

Buehler445 04-24-2023 09:23 PM

Holy crap. I turned off the the Miami game because MIA looked cooked.

Wow. Butler is a monster.

I was told (admittedly by a complete rerun) that NBA players don't play through injuries. FYI.

The Lakers managed to survive one of those 'Davis can't finish anything' halves but at some point they can't bank on Vanderbilt dragging them along here.

And if you're not gonna shoot, you gotta play better defense than this.

Honestly - who HAS played well to this point?

Again, I think the list pretty much begins and ends with Vanderbilt. Reaves looks okay. Schroeder is filling in well for Russell who absolutely has to show the **** up if he intends to get paid this offseason. This just isn't an acceptable post-season effort from him to this point.

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 09:51 PM

This is one of the weird aspects of bird rights. The Lakers are in a bit of a bind with D-Lo. Sure, they can let him walk but who do they replace him with? Losing him doesn't open a salary slot because they're over the cap. All they could do is tag and trade him and hope to recover a shorter term bad contract in his place.

But since they have his bird rights and can go over the cap to retain him, they may be better served just paying him.

****ing hell the Lakers have no energy tonight. 2 offensive rebounds and they have ZERO ball movement but just take flat-footed jumpers. On the defensive side Davis gets his pocket picked then complains while play goes the other way. Nobody is stopping drives; just getting run past.

This is mostly just piss poor effort from LA. Nobody seems inclined to take control and they don't have anybody providing a spark either.

Gonna **** around and give home court back.

Not AD. I don't know WTF he's doing out there tonight.

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 09:54 PM

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!

Jesus Christ. This is goddamn embarrassing.

Throw in the inbounds pass and y'all stand there and let Hachimura try to go 1 vs 3 on the wing?

Wake. The. ****. Up.

So glad the Wolves don't have to make those decisions.

This is always gonna be the problem with AD though. He has these inexplicable game where the effort isn't there. They didn't matter in the 2020 run because LeBron was still at the very top of the game, but they do now.

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 09:55 PM

How many bunnies has Davis missed tonight?

G'damn he's mentally soft.

I'm not even sure it's an effort thing.

He's not really jaking. He's just...lousy. He gets in his own head and starts overheating those put-backs and layups.

You'd like to see them try to feed him a few attempts on the low post to un-**** himself but they can't afford to waste the possessions at this point.

Effort, focus, confidence level, whatever it is, he's just not the force he usually is on both ends.

Yeah, he mentally checks out and starts whining about calls instead of making plays. He had a couple nice stops early but once he got the bitch face going, he went to shit.

KCUnited 04-24-2023 09:58 PM

Everyone on the Lakers outside of Reaves looks over 40 right now

Any cap team has to make those decisions and it ends up getting some guys paid who shouldn't be.

They're $12 million/season type of middle class players, but because the team that loses them can't replace that level of production with a cap exception, they end up overspending to keep them because "it's only money" and they're already over the cap.

It's an oddity that really doesn't become a major problem unless/until a team has a superstar retires and now they're trying to rebuild around another frail star player but lack the cap space to get out into the market because of that albatross 'luxury' deal.

So...y'know, exactly what the Lakers will be going through in 2 seasons.

It's a REAL quandry for them but signing him will make them better for the remainder of LBJ's career in LA so they'll almost certainly do it. And regret the shit out of it when James retires and they're STILL over the cap so they can't do anything to replace him.

KC_Connection 04-24-2023 10:01 PM

Apparently he's grabbing at his hip in pain. What's new?

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 10:01 PM

Cannot believe this is a 2-point game.

LA looks like they should be getting run out of the gym. Probably only a matter of time.

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 10:02 PM

You know Dillon Brooks teammates talk mad shit about him when he's not around.

ROFL

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 10:04 PM

Movther of **** - you have GOT to hit that corner 3.

All that ball movement and crisp passing and you gack and open look.

THEN ANOTHER! 2 great passes and Rui can't finish.

This is just spectacularly poor finishing. But hey, at least they're finally actually playing basketball.

And another clang.

I can't type as fast as the Lakers can miss open looks.

KC_Connection 04-24-2023 10:05 PM

Can the Lakers make some of these open threes LeBron is getting them?

DJ's left nut 04-24-2023 10:05 PM

Sweet merciful jesus, they finally hit a ****ing basket.
